Adam comes down to find Chelsea working on her laptop and snacking on his chips. Chelsea initiates, then ends a kiss (because Connor’s upstairs) Adam thinks Connor should be updated – unless she regrets what happened last night.
In the club’s dining room, Phyllis doesn’t believe Diane’s ‘sympathy’ is sincere – why would you want to be nice to me? Diane wouldn’t wish that ordeal on her worst enemy. Seems you looked death in the face but remain the same nasty person you’ve always been, she retorts. Diane, wait, I’m sorry, Phyllis apologizes.
When Jack joins her on the patio, Traci drops the bomb that she’s not sure Alan is who he says he is.
A distressed Traci tells Jack about the alerts on Alan’s phone re: clinics and security breaches – what if they weren’t a mistake? What if he was expecting them?
Chelsea doesn’t regret last night and can’t wait to do it again. Then why hesitate? Adam wonders. She worries Connor’s OCD might flare up. As happy as she is with Adam, Chelsea can’t put their son at risk.
When Diane takes a seat, Phyllis apologizes and claims that she has a new mindset/clean slate. You’re making it so hard to bury the hatchet, she soon complains. OK – I’ll indulge your experiment and be your lab rat, Diane’s words trigger Phyllis.
How dare you!? Phyllis shouts – I would never use you as an experiment or call you a lab rat! OK, calm down, Diane doesn’t understand why she’s so upset. Informed that the kidnapper used those words, she apologizes. Obediently going away, Diane runs into Billy at the revolving door. Asked to check on Phyllis, he thinks she needs fresh air because of a panic attack.
Is it selfish to tell Connor? Chelsea frets. We’re a family – and he wants us to trust that he can handle his OCD, Adam points out how happy their son is. He’s the best of both of us. If we tell him, there’s no going back. OK, Chelsea trusts Adam (big mistake)
