Running into one another in the club’s dining room, Kyle and Summer’s chat soon turns to Phyllis. Coming through the revolving door, Claire doesn’t look pleased to see, yet again, Kyle hugging his weepy ex.
At Nate’s apartment, Amy talks about reminiscing with Damian – he wants to get to know you better too. Nate’s happy to hear it but hints that his half-brother is ‘mysterious’. Mysterious? Do you know something I don’t know? Amy’s worried.
Damian’s happy to run into Lily on the patio and pleased to meet the ‘famous’ Devon Winters (he did his research before meeting Nate for the supposed job interview) Clarifying that he wasn’t aware of Nate’s job offer, Devon confronts Damian – unless you’re Aristotle Dumas, you don’t own the companies you claim to.
Nate tells Amy that Damian doesn’t own Danglers or Monte Cristo – Aristotle Dumas does; Damian’s the CEO. Agreeing to focus on the positive, Nate has more good news – his oncologist friend is coming to see Amy today to discuss treatment options.
You don’t have the full story, Damian tells the Winters (as Lily’s now expressed her suspicions too) He has no secret agenda – you’ve got the wrong person in the hot seat.
Seemingly oblivious to the tension between Summer and Claire, Kyle manages to fuss over Summer while flirting with Claire – who gushes about Harrison but loves being back in the corporate world. Summer looks ready to puke when Kyle says Claire’s where she’s supposed to be.
Claire agrees that she’s where she belongs. Nikki joins the tense trio to hear that there’s no news on Phyllis. Claiming that her car’s been giving her trouble, Summer asks Kyle for a ride to work. That leaves Nikki to ask the sulky Claire what’s wrong.
Touting Dr Kelly as a leading oncologist on the cutting edge of new technology, Nate’s also a firm believer in positive thinking. Amy would be grateful for any extra time she gets – either way, she greatly appreciates Nate ~hug~
Lily and Devon aren’t accusing Damian of anything, they just love their cousin. Damian finds it ironic that they don’t trust him – considering HE’s been lied to. When Lily excuses herself to take a call, Devon tells Damian that he was reunited with his biological father later in life so can relate to the confusion Damian’s going through (but still doesn’t trust him given his questionable actions and keeping secrets)
Damian’s motives are curiosity and a need to protect his privacy. Devon’s direct and thinks Damian should be too. Damian’s gotten past his suspicions – so have Nate and Amy – why aren’t you and Lily (who rejoins them) on the same page? Things don’t add up for Devon, but, he’s still willing to give Damian the benefit of the doubt (until Damian asks Lily to go out for dinner with him tonight)
