At Nate’s, Lily and Devon see Damien’s actions as a red flag – makes you wonder what he’ll pull next.
On the patio with Holden (not Hogan) Damien wishes he hadn’t let his curiosity get the better of him. I should have dropped this whole thing and gone back to LA – now, it’s too late.
Billy listens to Phyllis’ urgent ‘call me back’ message. In the park, she answers – finally! You’re pretty hard to ignore, he comments (as a robe-clad Sally eavesdrops)
Nate tells Lily and Devon that Damien’s a successful businessman – hiding his identity was a smart move. Sounds sketchy to Lily – damn sketchy to Devon. No offence, but you’re making a lot of excuses for the guy. Nate’s not blind – he’s having a hard time accepting that he and Damien are even related at all.
Holden blames himself for pushing Damien to see his Mom. It’s terrible that she has leukemia. Damien’s reeling from the secrets kept from him (and the father who raised him) People make mistakes – and maybe your Mom didn’t want to die leaving you alone.
Sally continues to listen to Billy’s end of his conversation with Phyllis. He’s underwhelmed by her ‘incredible’ news. I told you this decision could wait til I got back. Yes, Billy did take Daniel on because of Phyllis. He’s happy that the team’s coming together. Phyllis is glad Billy’s not going after Victor or Chancellor – we can start with a clean slate.
After dropping a bomb on Damien, Nate’s trying to withhold judgement and won’t give up. He’s trying to see things from Damien’s perspective. It’s all up to him now.
Holden thinks this might be Damien’s last chance to reconnect with his Mother. He can’t – it’s too painful. He needs time to cool off and think it through. When Holden suggests they go back to LA (to put out fires) Damien agrees – we could leave GC and never look back.
Phyllis wants to go over a few ideas – it’ll just take a couple of minutes. When Sally comes over to caresses him, Billy ends the call and admits he called Phyllis back. What was so important? Nothing ¬kiss¬
Phyllis fumes in the park – don’t mess up this opportunity. Neither of us can stand another failure, she mutters to herself. Nick appears – bad news?
Where’s your breakfast date? How could Sharon possibly make it home without you? Phyllis oozes sarcasm. How is your delicate flower? Sharon’s fine – you don’t seem so good. Phyllis announces that she finally convinced Daniel to work with her and Billy. What exactly is this new business? Nick asks.
