Phyllis apologizes for interrupting Billy’s evening with Sally. It’s on hold – he’ll be seeing her later. Further, she’s the reason he came to find her at Society.

Claire’s taken her new look out for a test run. Tessa approves – and so does Mariah when she arrives. Ian eavesdrops.

In the motel room, Jordan flashes back to meeting Ian in the prison yard. Posing as a Reverend, he wants to help her. Jordan’s all ears when he confides that they both have a troubled past in GC.

Alan’s greeted by Nick and Sharon. Yes, she’s tried hypnosis before but it didn’t help. She knows it might not work but is desperate and willing to try anything to get her memory back.

Over drinks (water for Claire) Mariah updates that Alan is hypnotizing Sharon as they speak. She worries her Mom will remember something she can’t handle. Having heard enough, a gleeful Ian slips out undetected.d

Mike arrives to introduce himself to Alan – he trusts any friend of Traci and appreciates his willingness to help. When Nick expresses concern, Alan promises that Sharon will be safe during their session. I have to do this Nick, even if it’s painful, she’s determined.

Jordan’s flashback continues. What brought Ian to the hellhole that is GC? Love, a child. Things didn’t work out – ‘unwise’ choices sent him to prison, where Ian was ordained a Minister. These unwise choices? Jordan probes. Ian acted on his hatred for the Newmans. Maybe we’re kindred spirits after all, Jordan chuckles – Victor destroyed her sister and married the town tramp – they took my niece from me and brainwashed her. Ian can help her let go of that anger.

Billy thinks Phyllis should get over her issues with Sally; she’s a class act. Phyllis is fed up of not being seen or heard – it doesn’t matter what I do, how right I am – I always have to prove myself. Billy can relate.

What if the hypnotist goes too far and I’m not there for Sharon? Mariah frets. Sharon wants to do this; trust her and the process. Claire agrees with Tessa – sometimes intense therapy is needed to get to the other side. Mariah hopes they find out once and for all what’s going on.

As Nick and Mike watch on, Alan counts backwards until Sharon’s under his spell. What do you see? I’m driving. There’s a car behind me. A dark coloured pick up truck. They were headed towards town. Nick whispers to Mike – Phyllis was headed away from town. And she mentioned a dark truck coming towards her, Mike adds.

Phyllis isn’t sure Billy can relate because he’s an Abbott. Yeah, trust me, she quips – I know ‘being an Abbott isn’t all it’s cracked up to be’. When she complains about Mike representing Sharon (a knife to her heart) Billy gets it; being underestimated and dismissed is infuriating.

There was an awful noise! A crash! Sharon becomes agitated. Somebody might be hurt – I have to go help them. Alan brings Sharon back by counting to 10. Are you OK? Sharon excitedly reports what she now recalls – she heard the crash – but it was in the distance. I didn’t try to kill Phyllis! The brilliant Mike concludes that whoever was driving the truck was likely responsible for the accident.
