At home, Jack’s happy to reward Diane with Jabot Classic – for taking the Mustache down a peg and sacrificing to bring Kyle back to them. She really hopes their family has turned a corner. You don’t think we have? Jack’s ever so astonished.

At the ranch, Nikki wants more for Claire than to be her assistant. Yes, this is what Claire wants; she feels she can be well in business. Nikki agrees – you’re a Newman through and through. Claire’s clearly not looking forward to telling (Kyle and) Harrison that she won’t be his nanny anymore.

Over a friendly breakfast at Society, Kyle updates Summer that his parents were acting and he’s going back to Jabot as co-CEO today. Victor arrives in time to hear him say that Diane stepped aside.

Claire hopes her working for Victor doesn’t make things awkward with Kyle.

Traci might come around but Diane knows Ashley and Billy won’t. Have that talk with Kyle, she pesters Jack. Not today – he wants Kyle to look toward the future, not the past.

After Summer leaves, Victor joins Kyle. So, the prodigal son returns and Jack and Diane have reunited, he mocks. Kyle will never forgive Victor for what he’s done to him and his family.

Nikki gives Claire some advice on ‘matters of the heart’ – don’t hold back on what you do or how you feel because of how somebody might react – even if it’s someone you love. If Kyle is as wonderful as you say he is, he’ll be as supportive of you as you were of him. He’ll be ‘over the moon’ excited for you.

Back at Society, Victor asks what he’s being accused of. You used me (and Glacade) to hurt my family, Kyle snarls – but the Abbotts are stronger than ever and my Mother just played you for a chump. Victor taunts him – Mommy will take her keys back. I know your Mother, only too well. Victor’s set a time-bomb in the Abbott household and is waiting for it to explode. I always play the long game – have a good day, Victor leaves Kyle to look worried.

Wow – this is like stepping into a time warp, Jack comments; the art, the furnishing – it looks and feels like the old place. He’s got a lot of memories here. Some happy, some not so happy. Congratulating Nikki, he worries the stress might cause her to drink again.
