Victor welcomes Nikki to her new home – a rebuilt replica of their old home. It’s stunning, Nikki is brought to tears. Flashback to her and Victor wandering around the ranch Sharon had burned down. Like it? he asks. Nikki loves it.
The views are magnificent, Nikki can see the horses in the pasture. All the time and effort – how did you pull this off without me noticing? This ranch is a perfect blend between old and new – like stepping back in time.
Flashback to the first time she came to the ranch (where Douglas claimed to live with his man-servant, Victor)
Toasting to new beginnings, Nikki and Victor flashback to him first inviting her to move into the ranch. You’ll have your own room and come and go as you please – no ‘physical intimacy’ – we won’t share a bed. Nikki’s bewildered – why do you want me to move in? At first their kisses were dry – later, more passionate. Flashback to wedding number one; toasting to a lifelong fantasy. We’ve had quite the life, they agree.
The styling, the furniture – it reminds Nikki of their first house – you remembered every detail.
Then came the bad times – Nikki confronting Victor on his affair with Ashley. Look at all this booze! Victor had poured out bottle after bottle. You’re as much to blame as I am – we both could have handled things differently, Victor wags his finger. If I was you, I’d want to brush everything under the carpet too, Nikki had remained calm.
Things got ugly at times but we always found our way back to one another. Flashback to a time when Victor was struggling with his manhood. Nikki refusing to leave (with Vikki) I don’t have a life without you. I love you, Nikki vows never to leave Victor again.
Another flashback – Happy New Year ¬kiss¬ then another. This is where we belong – together ¬hug¬
Thank goodness we made our way through – look at the life we’ve had, Nikki marvels. Victor looks forward to making new memories.
This piano is magnificent, Nikki’s startled by a knock at the door. The family files in one by one to admire the recreation of the original ranch. Victor was never quite satisfied with the original rebuild they’ve lived in for years. When Adam arrives, Victor announces that this is the wedding venue he promised Abby and Devon.
Abby’s thrilled that her wedding will be the first event held here. Devon’s honoured. He and Victor step aside to discuss Lily – Neil would want her working with you at Winters. Devon thinks it should be HER decision.
Claire finds Victor’s gesture sweet and romantic. Flashback to him dancing with Nikki as they exchange sappy dialogue. He feels their souls are intertwined – my beauty ¬kiss¬
Abby can’t wait for everyone to see their wedding venue – and to marry Devon.
What will happen to the other ranch? It’s Nick’s if he wants to live there. He politely declines. Adam joins them – it’s not exactly a tear down. You should take it. Adam’s not sure Dad would approve of that. He would – how do you feel about living so close to your old man? Adam will give it some thought.
Thanking her ‘Daddy’ and Nikki for the wonderful surprise, Abby (and Devon) have to go home for Dom’s ring-bearer practice. Having already offered the old ranch to Nick (who declined) Victor asks Adam to think it over. The last to leave, Vikki, Nick and Claire leave Nikki and Victor to reminisce about how much time has passed. You’re as beautiful as you were when I met you, Victor gushes. Blah, blah, blah.
Next Week. Well hello hello, Victor finds Jill in his office. You know by now that I don’t like to be kept waiting, she fumes … On the front step, Ashley seems nervous. She wasn’t sure she’d ever make it back.. You don’t have to worry anymore, Jack reassures – you’re home now… There he is, Harmony points excitedly at Devon. My handsome brother! Anna squeals as she runs over to hug him (sitting with Nate and Lily)
