Over tea at CL’s, as promised, Nikki has a letter from Katherine she wants Lily to see.
At Society, Victor asks Nate to join him. Assuming it’s not urgent, Nate declines (which makes him a brave man according to Victor)
Connor’s having such a good time in the park with his parents that he believes things are getting better. Does it feel that way to you guys too? Chelsea nods and smiles.
Sally runs into Billy at the club. Yes, she stayed there last night.
What’s this critical information you want to share? Sitting with Victor, Nate’s grilled on how things are going at Chancellor, Winters – and whether he’s talked to Lily about working with him and Devon.
Lily’s in tears over a letter Katherine sent Nikki while she was in rehab – in which she relays running into her (Lily) and the twins and expressed how impressed she was. They raise their mugs upwards to toast Katherine.
Sally and Billy take a table to have coffee and flash back to their ‘hellish’ night (which was only last night)
After a long flashback of Adam’s confession, Billy tells Sally that she deserves better. Chelsea betrayed you too, she hopes he’s not letting her off the hook.
Connor quizzes his parents game-show-style on his relaxation techniques. They’re having fun until he wants them to face each other and for a hands-on muscle relaxation exercise. What’s going on – are you guys OK?
Gifted with Katherine’s letter; her kind words reiterated by Nikki, Lily’s happy for a reminder that the sky’s the limit (right now she’s under a dark cloud) Have things deteriorated with Billy? Nikki’s all wide-eyed concern.
Billy and Sally continue to bond over being cheated on. He admires her strength and isn’t in the same head-space. Do you think you can actually forgive Chelsea and stay with her? Sally’s sceptical.
Connor’s easily distracted then sent off for ice cream. As soon as their son’s out of earshot, Adam tells Chelsea ‘Sally left me because of you’.
Billy confides that Chelsea cheated on him with Adam a long time ago – this time was random and reckless. There’s no romantic feelings there – unless you know something I don’t. You’re better off without Adam.
Lily knows she’s welcome to come back – she doesn’t need me or Devon make her decisions. Victor smirks at Nate – I know why you are; the one who tried to put me in hospital to take over my company.
You’re the reason Sally found out, Adam blames Chelsea and her guilty conscience – and Billy, of course. They stop arguing and return to smiles and jokes when Connor returns with ice cream. Hey – there’s Sally. Over here, he calls her over.
Chatting away, Connor wants Sally to stay at his Dad’s more until she’s sick of him. Maybe a movie night – what’s that movie you watched with Mom? He’s always thought Sally’s great.
Not intimidated when Victor calls him a ‘scheming opportunist’, Nate immediately guesses he’s going after Chancellor. Hear this – leave my family out of this; Lily’s having a hard enough time. Have a good day, Victor’s got the nugget of info he wanted.
Nikki praises Lily and plays her confidante – do you need someone to talk to? No, but she’s inspired to protect Katherine’s legacy. Nikki knows how destructive Billy can be. Speak of the devil, she leaves Lily to talk to her ex partner (but pauses at the door to watch)
Connor offers Sally his Mom’s untouched ice cream – stay and hang out. After Chelsea sends him off with his Dad, she apologises profusely to Sally and makes it clear she has no interest in Adam.
Billy and Lily argue. Prepare for a fight, she warns. You’ve got nothing to fight with. Wanna bet? she storms out of CL’s.
Nikki returns to Society to tell Victor that Katherine’s still guiding things. Lily didn’t confide but the animosity between her and Billy is palpable. Nate let it slip that she’s under a great deal of pressure at work, Victor’s phone rings. It’s Lily – this should be interesting.
Yes, Chelsea means what she’s saying. It would be easy for Sally to hate her but she can’t. She is furious that Adam lied to her. That’s because he’s terrified of losing you, Chelsea pleads his case. He loves you. On the verge of tears, Sally’s just made a decision. There’s no coming back from this.
Still at CL’s, Billy’s on the phone asking whether Lily has a case for wrongful termination. He never wants this case to see the light of day.
Lily asks Victor if they can meet at the club to discuss Billy. He looks forward to it. Nikki gives him the eye as ominous music plays.
