At Chancellor, Billy announces that he’s going away with Chelsea, to visit Connor, for a couple of days. He assumes that won’t be a problem for Devon.
After a brief chat with Kyle and Mariah, Abby leaves them to enjoy their breakfast. When their conversation leads to Mariah’s excitement to be working with her Mom, Kyle admits that he’d like to steal his Mom’s job out from under her.
At The Empty Glass, an impatient Jordan sends Seth another message asking how her old friend, Nikki, is doing. She’s worried about her.
Vikki drops by the office to say that she’s OK with her Dad’s plan – with conditions. Victor’s glad Nikki was able to change her mind. Yes, of course I sent your Mother to pressure you.
It was Claire who changed Vikki’s mind (she hasn’t seen her Mom since yesterday) How could you puther in such a difficult position? Victor grumbles about his daughter questioning his every move – what’s behind all this??
I’m sure we can manage without you, Devon agrees to keep Billy posted. He (Billy) has one provision while he’s away.
Kyle confides to Mariah that he’s not enjoying being the dutiful son and team player. He over-compensated for being an ass but now regrets suggesting, no ‘insisting’ his Mom take the job he feels he truly deserved.
‘Resent’ is a strong word; Kyle wants his Mom to shine, but no, he admits to Mariah that it’s not enough; the regret is driving him crazy.
Billy asks Devon to keep Chance in the loop. Is that a problem? He just got here, Devon notes (but agrees and sends his best to Chelsea) When Abby arrives (and Billy leaves) she can tell that the tension between the two men still exists.
There’s nothing else going on – Claire’s fragile and Mom’s vulnerable, and no, Vikki’s not pissed that her Dad replaced her with Nick and Adam. Ok thenm Victor sees nothing for them to argue about.
We need to present a united front, Victor says as Mike arrives with good news – Claire’s being released to Vikki and Cole’s custody. Of course, Victor will protect her. Vikki again mentions her conditions – no surprises and keep Claire safe. Victor can – at the ranch. Fine, but only until Jordan’s in custody, Vikki agrees.
Back at The Empty Glass, Jordan wonders why Seth hasn’t gotten back to her – then grins as she gets an idea.
Devon whines that Billy wants him to run everything by Chance while he’s gone. He can’t be any worse than Phyllis (Abby’s former business partner) Devon’s relieved that Billy’s gone – things will run a lot smoother at CW.
Meeting at CL’s, Billy calms Chelsea down and is ready to hit the road. Adam then arrives – is Billy here to see you off? He’s displeased when Billy announces that he’s driving Chelsea.
