Having had lunch together, Sally and Adam are now at the club for dinner. ‘To us’ they toast.
Still at Newman, Victor continues to express how happy he is that Nick’s working with Adam. When Vikki arrives, she doesn’t seem thrilled when Nick announces that he and Adam are now co-CEO’s.
In her office, Nikki pulls out her flask.
Resisting temptation, Nikki puts the flask in her desk drawer and leaves her office.
‘Whatever you think is best’, Vikki accepts Nick and Adam’s new roles at Newman (her focus is helping Claire) She asks her father to loan her the jet and a security team so they can go see Jordan. Over my dead body! Nikki appears to say.
Finished her dinner, Sally digs into Adam’s pasta. Instead of Tiramisu, Sally would rather have truffles from her mini bar. She doesn’t want this evening to end.
Adam hesitates – there’s a lot at stake. We’ve lost so much, Sally feels they must hang on to joy. Neither wanting this night to end, Adam takes her hand across the table.
Victor agrees with his wife – visiting Jordan is a bad idea. He and Nikki are further disturbed to hear that Claire will see her Aunt alone. Jordan snuck Claire out of a mental hospital! Nikki remains opposed while Nick supports his sister (who can NOT lose her daughter!)
Vikki’s determined to take the chance. She feels guilty about what Claire lost; what Jordan robbed her of. Family comes first, she reminds her father. She won’t give up on her daughter. When Victor agrees to provide his jet and security, Nikki’s shaking with rage (and addiction) as she returns to her office – and her flask.
