At the Crimson Lights coffee shop Chelsea wonders if a depressed Billy is regretting their kiss. No no he’s shocked by Phyllis’ death. They agree that she was a lot and that Billy should come upstairs to Chelsea’s apartment for the night. A night on the sofa that is.
Back at the athletic club, Danny consoles his devastated son in a room he’s rented. Daniel feels terrible about being so cruel to his Mom the last few weeks and now he’ll never be able to resolve things with her. He also wants to punch Jeremy out. Danny calms him down. That won’t bring Phyllis back. She’s gone son.
Once Daniel is in the shower Danny calls Lily. He gets out to find her waiting for him. She relates to Daniel as someone who knows the grief of losing a parent (both Neil and Dru) It’ll get easier in time. Everyone grieves in their own way. All but tucking him into bed, Lily watches as the exhausted Daniel drifts off to sleep, then climbs in to spoon him. It’s sweet.
At Society, Elena and Nate are also talking about the circumstances of Phyllis’ sudden death. Why did she collapse? Was there more they could have done? Elena obviously wishes he hadn’t left the medical world for the corporate world and she doesn’t like him working for Victoria. As usual he’s full of reassurance then decides to go home to sleep. Elena’s not tired so stays to search for JT online.
At home Jack’s in shock. Things between Ashley and Diane are tense but they agree to put their differences aside in light of tonight’s events. After Ashley goes to bed, Summer comes downstairs to blast Diane. You’re not sorry my Mom’s dead. You wanted to strangle her! she reminds. You wanted her dead!
Kyle and Jack diffuse the tension between their wife and wife to be. A traumatized Summer’s taken upstairs to cry. Diane’s left to weep in Jack’s arms. The fight she had with Phyllis was alarming to Jack but of course he knows she wasn’t responsible for Phyllis’ death but he suspects Stark is.
Meanwhile, Phyllis is very much alive and with Jeremy in a drab motel room.
