After a few words about Diane, Kyle warns his Dad to be careful, then rushes out to a meeting so quickly, he leaves his phone behind. Jack’s left to read a message from Victor – thanking him for help with the Adam matter.
Connor’s fantastic father and mother compete for who the best parent is. She’s in a really good mood, Adam notes. Connor puts his foot in it – she’s been laughing at her own jokes since her date with Billy.
At CL’s, Vikki asks Billy about his break up with Lily – the kids like her and she was good for you. Yes, I was jealous, she admits.
Vikki elaborates – she envied Lily for getting the mature Billy. That’s why she went for Ashland, so serious and established. What does this mean for you and Chelsea? she wonders.
Denying it was a date, Chelsea insists that Billy’s just a friend. Adam’s OK with friends; Chloe, Sharon. Do you know what it looks like? You going out with Billy all the time? He’s feckless and unreliable. Chelsea’s heard enough.
Diane’s sitting in Jack’s chair, her feet propped up on the desk when Kyle finds her ‘daydreaming’. With Jeremy out of the picture, Diane now wants to move up. Keep up the good work, we’ll see what happens, Kyle smiles. Diane loves PR but wants to replace Phyllis at Marchetti Home. You’re actually angling for Phyllis’ old job? Kyle chortles.
Chelsea wants Adam to get over his hatred for Billy. Adam sees no reason to. Two reasons – Connor and me. OK, fine, for them, Adam will try harder – but if he hurts you. It’s my life, Chelsea gently reminds.
Vikki continues to press Billy on his relationship with Chelsea. You saved her life, made her feel worthy – maybe she makes you feel like a hero. If it’s more than friendship, take your time. Katie’s jealous that you’re spending so much time with the boys – consider your family.
Phyllis would go ballistic if she found out that you replaced her. Out of all the jobs at Jabot, hers is the one you want. Diane’s an experienced architect and real estate agent – let me help you. Why now? Kyle wonders. Stark is gone and Diane wants to work more closely, and be part of, the family. I want to belong. No, it doesn’t sound ridiculous to Kyle – not at all.

Victor ends a call to update Vikki that he just spoke to the banker who holds Tucker’s debt – he might be willing to sell it to us for less than market value. Vikki’d rather act fast and pay fair market value – and would like to hear his plans for the prodigal son, Adam.
On the CL’s, patio, Adam fishes for info. Connor has no problem with Billy hanging around if it makes Mom happy. I’m always here to listen, Adam sends him off to wait in the car when Billy arrives. Yes – he does have an opinion on him and Chelsea going out to dinner.
