Finding Adam reading Newman Media’s website, Chelsea assumes the family must be relieved to have the Ashland matter behind them. That’s certainly their hope, Adam says ominously.
Back at the ranch, Nick’s come to accept that Victor made a unilateral decision in order to protect his children. Vikki came to that realization before him because she’s the child most like Victor.
When Chloe arrives, Adam leaves the ‘dynamic duo’ to hopefully make amends. Chelsea gushes about doing the podcast with Billy and Chloe’s glad she found a soft place to land.

Vikki sees what Nick’s going through as more ‘tragic’ than Ashland’s death. She’s mourned in her own way and now feels free. She had a drink last night with Billy of all people. It’s time to think ahead – let’s be bold. Nikki wonders what she has in mind.
Nick was surprised and relieved that Chance closed the investigation. Victor was surprised at how sloppy his (now fired) security guys were. You got lucky – what if Chance acted on the evidence? Victor would have handled it. That worries Nick.
Kevin lists the evidence Chance is ignoring. There’ll be serious blowback for us both if that evidence ever comes to light.
