Ashland and Vikki are stuck at the office – their flight to Tuscany is delayed due to bad weather.
In Adam’s office, Nikki’s a ‘nervous wreck’ over Vikki going to Tuscany with ‘that man’. She has a plan, Victor reassures. Plus, he told the pilot to tell them they couldn’t fly out because of a storm.
At Society, Sally gushes over what a gentleman Adam is. And now you’re in charge of Newman Locke. Adam has plans for the company. Of course, he meant it when he put Sally in charge of Newman Media. She’s happy he has such faith in her.
Jack’s at the cafe in LA, conflicted and scowling as he flashes back to Diane pleading her case. He’s pleasantly surprised when Phyllis appears.
Back at Society, Adam and Sally discuss the vindictive Ashland. What will happen when/if he finds out that Vikki’s playing him.
Ashland worries that Adam will ‘run amuck’ in their absence. Vikki wants to focus on clearing his name. She’s not smiling as Ashland hugs her.
In LA, Jack tells Phyllis what a lovely girl Ally is. She knows something’s wrong – what is it? Jack has shocking news that he must share with the person he trusts the most.
There is no storm; Victor’s stalling the flight to give Michael time to find a loophole in the merger contract. Nikki’s appalled that Ashland had him locked up in a foreign country. Who does that? Victor won’t let Ashland get away with ‘crossing’ him.
Adam has no idea what Vikki’s up to but is sure she’ll come out on top; she’s tenacious and smart. Sally hopes so. Otherwise, Ashland will try to take the company away from all of them.
Ashland relays his talk with the insolent Adam – he had the nerve to congratulate me for pulling the wool over your eyes. Vikki suddenly gets an idea – what if the answer has been staring us right in the face this entire time.
Jack tells Phyllis that Diane is the mystery texter. Diane who? Diane Jenkins. She’s burning in hell, Phyllis doesn’t believe it – Diane is dead. It was all a lie, Jack insists. Deacon Sharp helped her fake her death, Jack explains – she wants a pathway back into Kyle’s life.
