Jack unleashes on Diane – she faked her death because she was ‘broken’ but now wants him to help her reconnect with Kyle (which he flatly refuses to do) Numerous flashbacks remind us of the Diane/Jack/Phyllis dynamic as well as Jack’s relationship with his young son.
Phyllis and Lauren chat – they confide some details of why they’re concerned about Mike and Jack (leaving out the most pertinent details)
Jack calls Phyllis – she knows something’s going on. He’ll talk to her when he gets back. In the meantime, he and Ally continue to bond at the outdoor cafe. He’s delighted that she wants to learn more about his – her family.
