Holden wishes Nate and Audra nothing but the best. Why do you keep bringing her up? She’s NOT the only thing we have in common – and if Holden wants to make ‘friendly chit chat’ why not talk about Damian? Nate’s NOT worried – this is getting old. Holden’s glad Audra found someone who seems to make her happy. Enjoy your drink, Nate leaves.
Lily talks about the Count of Monte Cristo – he came out of prison to exact revenge on those who wronged him. Damian doesn’t know Aristotle’s real name and has never met him. He hired you to run two profitable businesses – how did you get on his radar? Lily asks. He was on MINE.
Audra pulls Nate into the apartment to give him a kiss. So, whaddaya think? (of her ‘preparations’) Do you really like it? He loves it. Where’s Amy? Having dinner with Traci. We have the place to ourselves for a few hours. They toast with champagne. How was your day? Audra has a confession to make. This is about something big and exciting.
Audra announces that she finally landed a job. Nate knows how much she’s struggled. Which company had the good sense to hire THE Audra Charles? Pulling him in for a dance, Audra looks nervous.
Devon arrives at the club talking on the phone with Abby (who’s flying back from Europe with Dom) Must be family hour, Holden comments that Nate was just there. You and Damian have pitched a tent here, Devon wonders who Aristotle Dumar feels about Damian being away so long. Holden doesn’t keep track of Damian – for all I know, he could be out on a date with your sister.
Damian wanted to reach out to the ‘legend’. People he knew in LA who knew Aristotle – so he faked a resume and lied about my credentials. Dumar probably knew I was lying but was impressed. He went from not having two coins to rub together to being the figurehead. The whole thing sounds shady to Lily – don’t you worry he’s setting you up? If he’s the devil, I was ready to dance, Damian shrugs.
Audra unbuttons Nate’s shirt. Looks like dinner and talk of her job will be delayed.
Damian and Lily sure as hell ain’t dating – Devon suspects Holden’s trying to get a reaction out of him You’re a prickly guy – it must run in the family, Holden knows Damian likes Lily a lot. She doesn’t like him, Devon snaps. Holden begs to differ – Damian Kane doesn’t shy away from going after what he wants.
Lily doesn’t understand why Dumar wants to make it look like he sold the companies. Damian doesn’t care – he was at rock bottom then reinvented himself as successful. Fake it til you make it, Lily gets it. Damian was determined to make his father proud and Dumar opened the door for him. Lily appreciates him telling her all this. Damian asks why she cares so much about this.
Holden flashes back to Audra telling him to forget about it – she isn’t opposed to a friendship but is concerned he’ll take advantage of the situation.
Audra and Nate come back downstairs buttoning up. Dinner can wait – he wants to hear about the job. Audra convinced Victor to make amends for the way he treated her with Glacade. He’s funding a new company for her to run. Something brand new. I’m going to be my own boss. Please, you can be happy for me, can’t you? Sorry, Nate can’t.
Lily’s curious about Dumar because it affects her, her family and her company. He contacted Billy; Victor thinks he’s sniffing around our company. Damian knows she wants his help – you had me open up to find out what Dumar’s really up to. Pretty slick, he chuckles. I gotta hand it to you. So, will you help me? Lily asks.
