Sharon and Nick suggest Phyllis take her family away on vacation. She can’t due to Abbott Communications business. Chance arrives to say that he has news about their kidnapper.

Chance has a positive development to report – they traced the online purchase of the remote control device that triggered the gas to a psychiatric clinic in Paris. Ashley was treated in a clinic in Paris, Alan Laurent arranged it, Sharon informs. Nick notices that Chance reacted to that name. All badger him – what’s the connection. It could be nothing, Chance can only say that another piece of the puzzle may have just fallen into place.

Summer tells Kyle that her Mom’s doing well – you know her (you don’t, she tells Claire) She blathers on about parents day at Harrison’s school. He drew this picture of me. Yes, Claire’s seen it. The score is Claire – 1, Summer – 0.

To be honest, Victor was very impressed with Audra’s work. She can run a division of his company. All she has to do is lure Kyle back into an affair with her.

Chance can’t say more than ‘the investigation is picking up steam’. He can assign more security for Sharon and Phyllis (which doesn’t make them feel any better) Does this Laurent guy have anything to do with it? Phyllis flips out – please, let this nightmare end. Chance asks them all to trust him.

Standing up, Audra’s not interested in Victor’s generous offer. He wasn’t serious about her seducing Kyle – but he wants to show who Kyle really is. Audra sits back down to hear that Victor doesn’t like his granddaughter seeing Kyle. Help me point out what a weak and treacherous man he is and you can have something far more ‘grand’ than Glacade. Nate then comes down and is surprised to see Audra and Victor.

Claire and Kyle tell Summer about ‘Harrison the Great’ doing a long magic show. That’s so funny, Summer fakes a laugh and sends them on their way – then watches glumly as the happy couple skips away. Also watching, Chance appears to ask if she’s OK.

Nick, Sharon and Phyllis are left to brainstorm. Phyllis suspects Ashley; she has a history of mental issues and was in a clinic in Paris. Sharon suspects Alan Laurent (based on how upset and curious Traci was about the details of their ordeal)

Nate stops by the table to greet Audra and confront Victor on investigating Damian and warning Lily not to trust him. Well, I’ll be damned, Victor didn’t know Damian was Nate’s half brother. Be careful of him and Dumar. Nate implies that Audra shouldn’t trust Victor.

Chance can’t tell Summer about the case and wishes her Mom would understand that. She needs closure, Summer protests. Seeing through her denial, Chance gets her to admit that she can’t stand Kyle and Claire being together.

Seeing Claire hang all over Kyle makes her want to scream – she hates that he and Harrison adore her so much. The family Claire tried to kill thinks she walks on water – I want her to disappear. Feel better now? Chance asks. Not really – Kyle and I were supposed to live happily ever after. Part of her isn’t over losing him – especially to someone like Claire. She can’t pretend anymore. What do we do now?

Audra will decide who to trust, Victor leaves. Audra will consider what they discussed and get back to him. Don’t think too long, Victor leaves Nate to ask her what that was all about.

No, Sharon didn’t tell Alan anything about her history with Phyllis. Nick and Mike were here. He seemed like a pro to Nick. He and Ashley are connected to that clinic in Paris, Phyllis points out. Nick could see the way Chance reacted to Alan being brought up. Phyllis thinks they should cancel their family vacation.
