Nate wouldn’t want to interfere in Damian and Holden’s friendship and he’s secure in his relationship with Audra – your history with her is just that, the past. Damian tells Holden to back off – why are you so defensive about being asked a question? It was an accusation, Holden suggests they interrogate Lily. Nate gets the conversation back on track – someone’s feeding Lily info on Damian. If you didn’t feed Lily those lies who did? Damian asks.

Jack’s ready to take the ‘thrill ride’ and can’t wait to see what Diane’s done to the house. I won’t let you down, she promises. She knows there’s something he’s not telling her but will wait until Jack’s ready to tell her. Promise me you’re OK. Jack does. Diane’s going back to to the office – Jack’s going to see Billy (and sign the paperwork on funding his new venture)

Lily shares first – Nate has a half brother who works for Dumar. Now it’s your turn – what do you have? Billy explains that Dumar reached out to him out of the blue – to congratulate him on Abbott Communications; he’s interested in how I lost control of Chancellor. No, Lily hasn’t met him and Damian hasn’t either – we can’t trust either of them. She finds it odd that a billionaire is suddenly interested in GC businesses. Phyllis is left to comment that Billy didn’t tell Lily that Dumar offered to get Chancellor back for him. Billy’s even more determined to get to the bottom of it.

Holden’s sure Damian’s made enemies along the way. Maybe Lily’s lying. Nate knows his cousin wouldn’t play games or interfere in his life like that. She only looked into Damian’s past out of concern for me and Winters Inc. Damian’s never met Victor – what reason would he have to sabotage my relationship with Nate and his family? On cue, Lily arrives – you told them about Victor?!

Nate doesn’t see the harm – he told Damian and Amy that he suspects Victor’s her source. Lily’s not convinced her info’s false – why would Victor lie? He’s done it before – what’s changed? Nate asks. Lily’s changed – Victor’s trying to make amends for the damage he did. His source is reliable. We only have Damian’s word. That should be concerning to you, she adds.

Jack’s at Billy’s. How’s it going? Great – Abbott Communication is ready to take off but there’s another opportunity Billy’s working on. Yes, Jack’s heard of the aloof Aristotle Dumar – why do you ask? He reached out to me with a helluva offer, Billy informs.

Sally hates that Phyllis is working so closely with Billy. Speak of the devil. When Phyllis asks for a private word with Sally, Chloe leaves. Phyllis needs Sally’s help – with Billy.

Damian knows Lily has an unfavourable opinion of him but reminds that he came to GC at Nate’s request. He asked Dumar to look into them after he got the job offer (for a job he wasn’t qualified for) Holden backs him up. He suspected something was off from the beginning and is frustrated that Lily doesn’t trust him. I was the one lied to. Why are you two so convinced I’m the bad guy here. Is there anything I can do to convince you otherwise? There is one thing you can do, Lily says.

On the patio, Phyllis assumes Sally’s been told about Aristotle. She worries – this guy is dangerous. Billy should have laser focus on Abbott Communications. If anyone can dissuade Billy from doing a deal with Dumar, it’s you.

Billy has history with Dumar (that he knows of) He seems genuinely interested in helping me. Do what? Jack’s puzzled. Right the wrong that was done to me at Chancellor. Jack warns Billy – this is the kind of temptation you don’t need. Does that mean you’re having second thoughts? Billy asks.

Sally doesn’t want to interfere in Billy’s business decisions. You can get him to see an alternative point of view, Phyllis whines – doesn’t it bother you? Wouldn’t it upset you if Billy threw it all away over vengeance? Sally trusts Billy’s vision and as his business partner, Phyllis should too. Dumar will exploit Billy’s resentment, Phyllis fears he’ll lose everything. Isn’t this about you? Sally suspects. Phyllis wants to see Abbott Communication thrive. Let’s come together for the common goal of protecting the company and Billy at all costs.

Jack wants to know that Billy’s professional focus is squarely on Abbott Communications. This company has to succeed. Billy’s all in. Good, that’s what Jack wanted to hear. I trust you – I’m about to show you how much (he signs the paperwork) There – exactly as we discussed. Billy thanks him and admits this Dumar thing threw him. He’s more suspicious knowing that he has connections to Lily’s company. Jack doesn’t like the sound of that. This could be trouble. Billy wonders why this guy is making so many overtures to people in this town.

Lily wants Damian to come clean – tell me about your true relationship to Dumar. Damian won’t betray his boss’ confidence. It was his idea to stay in the shadows not mine. What is his agenda in GC? What does he really want? Lily persists.
