Jack tells Alan that it would mean the world to Traci if they got married at the Abbott mansion. Great. See you soon. The call ended, he reports to Traci and Chance that Alan will be back as soon as he wraps things up in Paris. He sounded ‘normal’ and wanted to do whatever makes Traci happy. Perhaps we’re wrong. Traci thought Alan was the perfect man – until she saw those messages. Next, we find out who he really is (and she’ll be the one to do it)
Chance gone, Traci insists (to a worried Jack) that SHE must be the one to find out who Alan really is. How? By convincing him that her love is so unconditional that nothing he can do or say will change that. You’re setting yourself up as bait – Jack won’t allow it. This is MY life – I must see this through MY way, Traci won’t budge.
When Nikki/Vikki basically warn her to be careful, Chelsea must trust her heart and instincts. The struggles with Connor have changed Adam; he’s not the same man. For Chelsea and Connor’s sake, Nikki/Vikki hope she’s right.
When Nick puts an end to speculation about him and Sharon, Victor agrees – let’s not push it. You were pushing me and Chelsea to get back together, Adam adds that when Dad approves of a relationship it comes to pass – when he doesn’t, it gets stomped on like a pile of dead leaves. Be grateful Dad approves – and stay out of my life, Nick warns Adam.
Billy comes home to Sally (who wonders where he’s been all this time) He’s frustrated after his business meeting with Phyllis. She made a mountain out of a molehill about Aristotle Dumar. No secrets, Sally reminds – and she knows that Phyllis doesn’t fly off the handle for no reason. Billy admits that Dumar offered him a tempting business proposal. What is it? Sally’s even more suspicious.
All reunited in the living room, Adam raises a glass to Chelsea (for being a great Mom) and the family (for their support) and especially Victor (almost losing his Dad reminded Adam of how important the family is to him) To the Newmans – here, here, they clink glasses and drink.
Sorry but Billy can’t give Sally the details until it’s ‘solid’. And, when it all sounds sketchy to her, he’s frustrated to be repeating the same conversation he just had with Phyllis. It’s the right move, he’s 100% sure. Phyllis thought I was in over my head, he whines. Sally believes in him, it’s Dumar she doesn’t trust. Billy can take care of myself, he knows what he’s doing. It’s up to Sally whether or not she believes that.
Traci hopes she’s wrong about Alan – we don’t know it’s Martin. What if my instincts are off? That’s a long-shot at this point, Jack thinks. Traci’s in tears – I don’t want to lose him. I’d never forgive myself if I was wrong – and neither would Alan. She must look into his eyes and his heart. He killed his own twin brother, never mind what he put Phyllis and Sharon through, Jack finally mentions what Martin put Ashley through. Are you ready to face THAT man? I am, Traci answers without hesitation.
Left to discuss Adam and Chelsea’s reconciliation, Nikki has reservations due to their ‘toxic’ history (as if she and Victor don’t have an even more toxic history)
‘So, that just happened’. Vikki likes Chelsea, but Adam … (At CL’s) Nick’s happy for them and sees no reason to fight it. A happy Adam is less volatile and dangerous.
Back at their ranch, Adam thinks ‘that went well’. Chelsea picked up that the rest of the family isn’t as happy for them as Victor. Who knew he’d be our biggest supporter?
Sally tells Billy that anyone who works that hard to conceal their identity is usually hiding a lot more than that.
‘Weird’. Now at the club’s bar, Phyllis scowls at her phone. Unable to find any photos of Dumar online, she wonders ‘who is this guy’?
This man almost took our sister from us – Jack won’t risk the same happening to Traci. Then help me find out who ‘Alan’ really is, she implores.
Next Week: I want to know what the hell you and your boss, Aristotle Dumar, are really up to, Lily demands of Damian…. Chloe tells Sally to take a page from her own devious playbook and get Phyllis out of Billy’s orbit for good … The reason Lauren’s asked Nikki to meet her is Victor. I need you to betray your husband.
