When Kyle awakens Claire with a kiss on the neck, she panics about being late for work. Your boss will understand, he assures with another kiss.
Running into Nikki at Society, Jack’s happy to hear that things are going well at Chancellor. Are you really? she surprises him by asking.
In the dining room, Nick and Summer grill Phyllis on how things went with Sharon last night. No, we’re not friends, just not enemies. Nick’s proud of her.
At CL’s, Traci chats with Sharon (who won’t feel safe until the maniac kidnapper is caught) Who could do something so monstrous? Traci wonders.
I can’t, Claire gets out of bed – good thing she brought an overnight bag. Kyle offers space in his closet (in his suite and at the house when the remodel is finished) He gets an idea on how to show her how special she is – right now.
Now seated, Jack wonders why Nikki would doubt his sincerity re: Chancellor. Victor and Jill pulled it out from under Billy, Nikki points out. For once, Jack doesn’t relish the opportunity to ‘rail against’ Victor.
Phyllis admits to how consumed by hate she was. You do get emotional and step out of bounds, Summer understates. Phyllis was used to the pain Sharon put her through – but not seeing herself for who she (Phyllis) was.
Over coffee, Traci’s alarmed when Sharon confides that aspects of her kidnapping (IE the games they were forced to play) suggest he or she has a background in psychology.
Summer and Nick continue to praise Phyllis for letting go of her anger. If it leads to peace, they’re all for it. Phyllis won’t have peace until the kidnapper gets what they deserve.
Answering Traci’s questions, Sharon confides that the kidnapper’s distorted voice could belong to a male or female. The games/riddles weren’t for ‘entertainment’ but rather, a ‘psychological entertainment’. Strangely, whoever this was, wanted Phyllis and I to resolve our hate for each other – they knew us and our history.
Kyle thinks Claire might be coming down with something – you feel pretty hot to me. No meetings, reports or deadlines, he talks her into calling in sick.
It was hell for Billy but he’s finally found himself, building something new and letting go of grudges. Jack tells Nikki that’s he’s actually grateful that Victor acted ‘despicably true to form’.
