Mike updates Victor that Dumas has no interest in Winters. His connection to Damian Kane is coincidental. Nate approached him, not the other way around; Devon and Lily had nothing to do with it. I’ll be damned, Victor asks him to keep digging. Mike wonders why he suspects Dumas is up to something. Yes, we have a history, Victor admits.

Summer and Nick reassure/listen to Phyllis. I owe Sharon my life but still resent her for what she did to our family – what do I do with that?! No, she’s not a monster – she’s the same tormented person I am, Phyllis worries she can never admit that to herself again – what if I can never let that go? Nick has an idea.

Daniel and Sharon’s mutual therapy session ends when Nick’s text summons her to CL’s. Both agree that it was a good conversation – see you around. Daniel’s surprised when Tessa joins him at the bar (a blonde) Looks like you need someone to talk to, she sits.

Sally’s sure Phyllis can handle anything. That’s what she wants the world to believe – but she bleeds like everyone else, Billy admits they’re a lot alike (and work better as friends) Enough about Phyllis, he lists things they can do (and settles on making out)

If Mike must know, Victor and Dumas competed for the same companies – sometimes he won, sometimes I did. Then he’d disappear. Mike thinks that a man who’d ignore Victor Newman should be ignored himself.

Daniel relays his conversation with Sharon; a good chat but no, not forgiveness. Tessa heard most of the details from Mariah (who’s losing herself in work and feels responsible) Daniel will talk to her. We’re all just collateral damage – sometimes that’s impossible to see when you’re in the middle of it, Tessa concludes.

Sharon joins Nick, Summer and Phyllis at CL’s. This wasn’t my idea, Phyllis is quick to say – but equally quick to admit that she (Sharon) is the only one she can talk to about what they endured (much to Sharon’s surprise)

Daniel’s been given a lot to think about. No, he doesn’t say that to all the restaurant managers – Tessa always makes him feel less isolated and crazy. Mariah’s lucky to have you (Daniel looks like a schoolboy with a crush)

Victor wants Mike to find out why Aristotle Dumas has resurfaced now. Easier said than done but Mike will get right on it. He comes in – hits – then disappears. There’s no publicity. Victor wants to know where he goes and why. This isn’t about him helping Devon and Lily – they can help me. How? By putting Dumas in Victor’s sights.

Billy’s unpacking food when Sally reports that his phone has been going off. Someone named Aristotle Dumas really wants to get a hold of you.

Say something, Phyllis is also surprised that she’s there. Sharon thinks Nick’s right – it might help us to talk without the threat of death hanging over our heads. It might get ugly, Phyllis warns. When has that ever stopped us? Sharon quips. Nick leaves with Summer to give his exes some privacy.
