Amy supposes she should appreciate her son’s honesty. Damian’s not blaming her for his Dad’s illness, he blames her for being cold and detached; for going on with her life, business as usual, while his father died alone and seemingly unloved. Amy explains that she had to take another job because Jackson had let their insurance lapse. She worked so much in an effort to keep him alive as long as possible. Damian just wanted his Mom to be there for him and his father. In tears, Amy’s heartbroken at the pain she caused her son.

Arriving at CL’s, Summer sends her Mom a text – asking her to check in. Everything OK? Kyle asks at the counter. My Mom’s missing, I’m scared. Before Kyle can react, Summer goes in for a hug. And when Kyle looks over at Claire she looks uncomfortable as she averts her eyes.

Summer pulls away – sorry, I don’t know what came over me. Forget about it, Kyle thinks there could be a simple explanation for Phyllis being missing, like Mariah thinking Ian had kidnapped Tessa (who’s car and phone died) Still seated, Claire watches with great interest.

Victor’s never known Lily to be this evasive. Maybe I learned it from you, she invites him go ahead and look into it – I have nothing to hide.

This is a start, isn’t it? Amy’s hopeful. In addition to his past grievances, Damian can’t get past his mother lying to him his whole life. And now I have a half-brother? What am I supposed to do with that? This was one of those truths that didn’t need to be told. Amy pleads with him to try to understand. Damian IS trying – it’ll take some time. Amy asks Damian to tell her in person if he can’t bring himself to take these last steps with her. Agreeing to a hug, Damian remains stiff in her arms.

You sure this is OK? Taking a seat, Summer doesn’t want to interrupt their date. It’s OK, Claire says at the exact same time Kyle blurts out – it’s not a date. Wondering how dinner with the grandparents went, Summer warns that if Victor doesn’t accept their relationship, he WILL find a way to end it. This is your first romantic relationship? she makes Claire awkward by asking – then makes things worse by addressing Kyle – we never had to deal with that – am I remembering that correctly? Summer pretends to be perplexed.

Approaching Nate at the club, Damian admits that he and his Mom made a little progress; he learned things he wasn’t aware of. That said, he wishes this wasn’t dumped in his lap. Nate doesn’t regret finding Damian – your mother loves you – that has to count for something. Fixing things would mean the world to her.

When Lily joins them at the club, Nate decides to go home and check on Amy. After shaking hands, Damian agrees to tell Lily how things went with him Mom – over dinner. Sure, she agrees.

Victor didn’t have it out for me when we were together, Kyle points out. And grandpa knows I can look out for myself, Summer adds. I can look out for myself too, Claire’s quick to point out – she won’t let her grandfather or anyone else come between her and Kyle – I’m too happy. Me too, Kyle agrees. Leaving, Summer pauses at the door to look back at Kyle and Claire (who are too wrapped up in each other to notice)

When Nate comes home, Amy tells him that she’s exhausted and doubts Damian can forgive her. Nate disagrees – he just saw Damian at the club; he’s concerned about your health and is starting to let go of his anger. Amy agrees not to give up.

Aristotle Dumas, Victor mutters to himself before calling Mike to summon him over. I have another job for you.

Next Week: Sharon and our mother are both missing, Daniel wonders if there’s more to this. Seems like a weird coincidence, Nick admits. Why would they go anywhere together? The two of them hate each other, Daniel reminds. Unless one of them didn’t go willingly, Mariah suggests… Damian’s told Lily all about his family drama but knows very little about her – are you involved with anyone? … Over dinner and wine at home, Adam smiles across the table at Chelsea – look at the two of us – who would have thought we’d be here? Definitely not me, Chelsea smiles back.
