At Society, Nick and Vikki get some business done. We’re so good at what we do – we dodged a lot of bullets. Well, not all of us dodged a bullet. Our old man has a lot of years left, Nick’s sure. Unless he doesn’t, Vikki relays that their father seems morose about the future – it’s disconcerting.
Claire stops by the ranch to check on her grandfather. He’s a bit uncomfortable but will back at the heavy bag soon. Are you free for dinner tonight? she asks Victor would love that – until he hears it’s with Kyle too.
On the CL’s patio, Harrison talks to his parents about a school project he wants their help with. Dinner at your place? Summer suggests they can get started right away. Please Daddy? Harrison chirps.
At home, Adam tells Chelsea that Connor ate all his favourite chips. Who does that? You have a favourite chip? Chelsea’s surprised. It turns out that she’s the one who ate Adam’s chips. Welcome to the neighbourhood, Sharon appears.
Am I interrupting? Chelsea asks Sharon if she has a key. No – she passed Connor (on his way to the stables) She brought over a quilted throw – and wasn’t sure whether to get one or two. Two – we’re definitely not a couple, Chelsea clarifies. You two have found your way back to each other before, Sharon points out.
Harrison hopes his Mom will join them more often. His school presentation will be about their big family get togethers for meals in the dining room.
Victor doesn’t condone Claire’s relationship with Kyle. You’re stubborn, like your grandfather, he comments when she persists.
Sharon’s working hard to get healthy again and appreciates Chelsea’s empathy. You were a victim, Adam agrees. Sharon will keep moving forward – the whole family’s been supportive, especially Nick. That’s my brother, Adam forces a smile.
Dad’s always been so invincible, Vikki hates to think of losing her parents. We have to make every moment count and appreciate them while they’re here, Nick’s sure their Dad will come back stronger than ever – – he has a lot of life left in him. He better, Vikki still sounds worried.
Victor doesn’t mean to be condescending but Kyle’s no good for you. He’s amazing, Claire adds – he’s very good for me. Groaning in discomfort as he shifts position, Victor says that he detests Jack Abbott. Maybe it’s time to let the past go, Claire says. Victor think Jack talking about family being everything is a joke. He inherited that company – the Abbotts are weak. Why did he want to have dinner with me? Victor wonders. Claire explains that Kyle wants to be seen as the man she’s dating, not Jack’s son.
