The text was urgent, Nate says as he runs out. Hmmm Nate Hastings gets more mysterious every time fake Damien meets him.
Jack will be friends with Nikki regardless of how anyone feels about it. Diane’s not mad that he might be referring to her as well as Victor. On to her next topic – she wants to redecorate the house.
Seated at CL’s, Claire and Kyle tell Nikki a funny story about John. When Kyle excuses himself to take a call, Claire and Nikki discuss Victor’s disapproval of her dating Kyle. There’s nothing he can do about it, Claire’s defiant. Victor can be persistent, Nikki warns. Maybe you can convince him that Kyle and I are good for each other.
Your grandfather and I want you to be happy – but it might not be possible because Victor wants to punish the Abbotts, Nikki worries.
Jack recalls Gloria redecorating the house. Diane just wants to make the place comfortable and inviting. Do you want Harrison growing up around antiques? Can’t we make it more kid-friendly?
When Nate comes home, Amy refuses to go to the hospital to be poked and prodded. Nate insists she move into his guest room. He can get her in to see the top oncologists etc. Audra adds – we WANT to take care of you. She’s not even jealous that Nate asked another woman to move in before her. Does Damien want to see me at all? Amy asks again.
Hogan tells Damien that Nate wants to reconnect him with his Mother. What does she have to do with any of this?
Damien’s anger runs so deep he can’t stand to be in the same room with me, Amy’s sad. Nate understands why he’d be suspicious. Amy won’t let Nate tell him the truth. It has to come from me, not a stranger. We’ll tell him together. It’s the only way. Amy agrees – it’s time for him to know everything.
Jack wants Diane to feel at home here. I was an architect, remember? It’ll be fun. No – it has nothing to do with Victor rebuilding the old ranch. Jack needs time to think about it and will asks his sisters.
Claire doesn’t understand why two people she admires so much hate each other. That’s more on Victor’s side than Jack’s, Nikki admits. Victor will never forgive Jack for the way he saved her life. There might be a way to change his mind – that depends on you, Nikki tells Claire.
Traci thinks she knows what Jack said about redecorating the house. He said he’d think about it. Traci’s surprised – he’s so sentimental. Diane’s just looking to do a little ‘refresh’. Wait – you want me to convince him? Traci agrees the place could use an update. I’m in.
When Kyle returns, Nikki says a polite goodbye. What would you say about us having dinner with my grandfather? Claire asks him. Kyle blinks (morse code for ‘hell no’)
Audra leaves Damien and Nate to talk. You promised answers – here I am, fake Damien says. When Nate summons Amy downstairs, she’s confused. Who is this man? Who are you!??
