Summer loves her Mom’s enthusiasm and desire to help Daniel – but working with Billy isn’t a good idea. Things got messy when you two broke up, she reminds (without mentioning that she also slept with Billy) We’re friends, we’ve mellowed, Phyllis raves about his fresh, new ideas; a media company with integrity (unlike Newman Media) It’s not about Victor and Adam, she makes clear.
Jack has one question – is this about revenge? No. This is about Billy building something of his own. Good, Jack just needed to hear that. It’ll be worth every penny, Billy pledges.
Whatever you want, just come to grandpa, Victor invites. Don’t spoil him, Chelsea scolds with a smile. Connor wants to check out the gaming room again. Did you see the size of the TV? Victor then asks for a private word with Adam – there’s something I need from you, son.
Over a glass of wine, Chelsea tells Vikki that she helped her make the decision to move in. I’ll do anything for my son, here I am, they clink glasses. Yes, she had concerns about living under the same roof as Adam; luckily, it’s a big roof.
Victor wants Adam to downplay what happened to Ian Ward on all of Newman Media’s platforms. Talk about an intruder being shot on the property, that’s all – no mention of Jordan. Last thing we need is reporters at the gate. He’s especially worried about Claire. Adam’s already taken care of it – he went into the office this morning.
Diane thinks the house could use some sprucing up. Good luck with that, Kyle points out that Dad just took a trip down memory lane; he might not want any changes made to this ‘sacred’ space. Challenge accepted, Diane smiles.
Back in the dining room, Jack’s pleased to see Billy so excited about his new venture – Dad would be proud. Billy tears up – that’s all he’s ever wanted; to make his family proud. Jack’s sorry Billy ever felt otherwise – you’ll be great, the brothers hug.
Chelsea thanks Victor and Vikki for everything. If you need anything, I’m across the field, Vikki’s left to tell her Dad that this might be a good thing. Daddy – Adam and Chelsea are doing this for Connor, they aren’t getting back together. ‘Not yet’, Victor’s comment makes Vikki shake her head and smile at him adoringly.
Informing Jack that he’s going to Paris tonight with Sally, Billy again thanks him for his support and funding. Believe in yourself; I do, Jack’s hugging his brother when Diane returns to the dining room.
Daniel’s not sure Abbott Communications is the answer for him. Sure it is, Phyllis bluntly points out that before his life when to hell no one wanted to hire him. Mom! Summer gasps. No, Daniel appreciates her bluntness; everyone else is tiptoeing around him. If it’s Billy that’s holding you back, WE are a team – to hell with Billy (don’t tell him I said that) Phyllis would do anything for her kids. What can I say to make you team up with us?
Back at their own ranch, Connor can’t believe what a badass his grandpa is. I’m so glad we’re all together. The group-hug gets a bit awkward when Adam puts his arm around Chelsea.
