Letting Chance into Sharon’s place, Nick’s updated that the vehicle Sharon’s in was captured on surveillance cameras around town. At one point it pulled into the Riverbank Motel – we’re getting close.
At the motel, a wobbly Jordan drinks and talks aloud. The ‘black-hearted bastard’, Reverend Ward, has abandoned her. I can do this on my own; do what I should have done all along, she types on her phone.
This is the only way, Claire’s determined to stop Jordan. The plan is that she, her Mom and grandmother will try to get some sleep and regroup in the morning. When Jordan calls, Claire answers cheerily.
Ian’s staying at the Riverbank Motel – that’s where Nick confronted him and that’s all the ‘evidence’ he needs. There’s no time for Chance to go through more footage to see who abducted Sharon.
Jordan’s full of emotion after seeing Claire – but sceptical. Claire is too but she wants her Aunt’s help to make things right. I have a plan – when can we meet? Nikki and Vikki listen/watch, horrified.
Chance doesn’t want Nick to be charged with assault. Come with me then, in a professional capacity, Nick challenges. What do we have to lose? It’s worth a shot, Chance agrees.
Not blaming her Aunt for being suspicious, Claire learns that she’s working with the friend who orchestrated her escape. If you’re lying it might be bad for someone you know, Jordan’s vague. Claire wants the Newmans to get what they deserve – she never dreamt her Aunt would be free to help her carry out her plan. Agreeing to meet at CL’s, Claire reassures her Mom and grandmother – I have it all figured out – this is what I need you to do….
Nikki and Vikki are left to worry and debate at the ranch. They’re going along with Claire’s plan but hope Jordan ends up back in prison instead of dead (for Claire’s own sake) Oh look – here’s the nosy Victor to ask what they’re hiding. And where’s Claire?
Waiting for her Aunt on the patio, Claire flashes back to the (deservedly) harsh words she said to her Aunt when last visiting her in lock-up. Jordan texts instructions to meet at the overlook – no tricks. On my way, Claire leaves.
Ian! Open up! Nick, with Chance in tow, bangs on room number 22. I know you’re in there!
I’m alone as promised, Claire stands to overdo it with kind words for her Aunt. You still don’t trust me, she sighs when Jordan declines the Oolong tea her niece brought her.
