Having a drink of water, Sharon again tries to reach the metal pole propped up just out of reach.
Arms folded, Daniel doesn’t like Billy’s odds against Victor – he wants to work with his Mom on something that’s theirs – not a piece of someone else’s dream. After he goes to get Lucy, Billy needs an answer from Phyllis – are you in or out?
Victor understands how Nick feels. He promises that NO ONE will hurt the Mother of his grandchildren. If this is Ian Ward, I’ll get that SOB. Ping – Nick gets a text from Chance – there’s been a new development. ‘Tell him to come right over’, Victor orders.
Jordan was bitter and angry – she wanted to believe all the lies that Claire fed back to her; lies she was told growing up. She’s never going to let me go – no prison can hold her – security can’t keep her away from us. There’s only one way, Claire tells her Mom and grandma – Jordan has to die.
Chance shares their first new big, break – security footage shows Sharon parking her car – someone approached her from behind, put a rag over her face and drove off with her. They’ll be looking for more footage in hopes of getting a better look at Sharon’s assailant. Victor will put his men on it too. Nick furrows his unibrow – we find them, we find Sharon.
Claire does indeed know what she’s saying. Nikki warns that murdering Jordan will haunt her – then Jordan will have won. That’s a price Claire’s willing to pay to keep the family she loves safe. We must put an end to Jordan once and for all.
Establishing that they’re twins because they’re both annoying, Billy finally shares his ‘elegant’ plan with Phyllis. The best way to get to Victor is through his family. He’ll do what they’ve done to him his entire life – he’ll destroy Victor’s black sheep son, Adam.
That’s the plan? Phyllis was at Restless Style when they published Satan’s Understudy and everyone read The Making of a Monster – what can you say about Adam that hasn’t already been said? Billy plans a multi-pronged attack to take back what’s his. This is a vendetta, not a plan, Phyllis sees a guy who’s spinning out again (and who wants Chelsea back along with Chancellor)
Chance shows Nick and Victor his phone. Sharon’s kidnapper is shorter than Ian and seems familiar to Nick. Could it be someone we know?
Sharon manages to pull the crowbar over and with a few loud grunts begins hammering away at the chain around her wrist.
No one’s shut Jordan down yet – if she’s breathing she’s coming after us, Claire persists. It has to stop. This is the only way. She set fire to a prison, pushed her friend in front of a car. Claire will use herself as bait. We do it together or she’ll do it alone. Either way, Jordan WILL die, she tells her Mom and grandmother.
My Thoughts: So much for Billy’s fondness for Connor and concern about Adam hurting Chelsea. Ironic that says he ‘doesn’t appreciate cheaters’ (while sitting with a woman who he’s cheated with and on – with her own daughter no less) … Perhaps instead of running over to Society on command Chance should have summoned the Newmans to the station – where they could look at the footage on a quality monitor, instead of squinting at a grainy photo on a tiny phone that’s one step up from a flip phone … Would it have killed Billy to express his condolences to Daniel? Maybe asked how Lucy’s doing? And perhaps Daniel could have just politely declined the job and say he wasn’t interested in participating in whatever Billy’s plan is…. So NOW Victor gets around to asking Nick ‘was Sharon found in the water’? It’s not like she’s doggie paddling downstream – even Reverend Ward and his Google-thumbs were able to establish that the river has already been dredged…. Claire’s a fit young woman in her late twenties – surely she could overpower a 70 year old woman…. Instead of stabbing at the chains with the crowbar, maybe Sharon should have taken her earrings out and tried to pick the lock …. Not since Nikki’s days stripping at the Bayou has a sweaty, sequined-clad Newman woman arched her back while pointing a high-heeled toe towards a metal pole with such enthusiasm.
