Nikki’s ready to take it on; this job is even more incentive for her to stay sober. She’s forever grateful that Jack saved her life – but look at the cost. Was it worth it? Yes – you’re here for the biggest adventure of your life, Jack’s humble.

Claire asks Kyle to stop by CL’s on his way to work – she has something to tell him. We’ll catch up later, he tells his Mom as he leaves Society in a hurry. Your family will never be whole, Victor tells Diane.

Summer arrives at CL’s to engage in passive aggressive chit-chat about seeing Harrison this morning – she and Kyle got him dressed and took him to school – then they went out for breakfast. It makes Harrison happy that they we things together. Claire’s waiting for Kyle. Summer guesses that she’s accepted Nikki’s job offer. Harrison will be disappointed. Claire will still spend time with him. Because of your relationship with Kyle? Summer asks rhetorically.

Summer questions Claire about her non-relationship with Kyle. Does it upset you? Claire asks. Relax – she only cares who Kyle spends time with as it pertains to Harrison. Claire reassures that she’s not a threat (like Audra was) Yeah, you’re not a threat – at all, Summer’s condescending. Claire still intends to be in Harrison’s life. Yes but you won’t be his nanny anymore – you’ll be the girlfriend – big difference. When Kyle arrives, Claire’s jaw hits the floor when Summer immediately blurts out her news.

Jack knows Nikki’s disappointed that he’s reconciled with Diane. He lets her rant for a bit before confessing that their break up was all an act. Nikki’s stunned – you and Diane are good actors.

Diane tells Victor that he lost – she and Jack are happier than ever and Kyle’s back at Jabot. Victor claims to have known that their vulgar display was all a ruse.

Glacade’s an empty shell, Victor smirks at Diane. It’s a matter of time before Jack and Kyle see you for who you are. Don’t feel too damn comfortable, he warns.

Summer’s sorry – was it supposed to be a surprise? Claire did some soul-searching and couldn’t say no to this job. Harrison will be disappointed, Summer comments. That’s why Claire wants to have that conversation – to reassure Harrison that she’ll still be part of his life (and she’s becoming a big part of Kyle’s life)

Nikki wishes this feud would end. Jack’s not sure he can forgive Victor. He used Kyle to get to me. Nikki hopes they can remain friends. Victor comes home to scowl at Jack – what are you doing here?

Summer congratulates Claire on her new job and wishes Kyle good luck on his first day back at Jabot. Yes, that was weird, Kyle agrees – Summer was acting jealous (but he thinks it’s about Harrison, not their relationship) As Nikki predicted, Kyle is indeed happy for Claire – does that make me ‘wonderful’? As they kiss, Jordan rushes onto the patio gasping for air.

Jack wishes Nikki good luck at Chancellor. Since it’s Kyle’s first day back at Jabot, he needs to get going. On his way out, he thanks Victor for selling off all Glacade’s divisions at a discount – I bought them. As Victor scowls, Jack exits grinning ear to ear.

Next week: Mike tells Nick, Sharon and Mariah that Chance got the toxicology report back on Sharon’s pills. Did they find anything? Nick asks …. Nate tells Audra that he’s hired a PI Devon recommended (to find Damien) – it may not be long before I’m face to face with my half-brother…. Jordan thinks it time Ian ventured outside to see the world again. He agrees – it has been a long time. I hope the dear people of GC are ready for me.

My Thoughts: I have absolutely no interest in the borderline incestuous triangle of Kyle, Claire and Summer and won’t be surprised when Claire’s heartbreak leads to a psychotic break. Summer seems to have forgotten why she once thought (correctly) that Claire poses a danger – given everything that’s going on with Sharon, you’d think she’d be a bit more cautious about provoking a woman who’s not mentally stable… After Harrison was kidnapped from the house it’s weird that the Abbott’s don’t lock their front door …… Nikki Newman is the last person who should be doling out unsolicited advice on ‘matters of the heart’. The relationship she depicts as an epic love story base on mutual respect is a far cry from reality that she’s been in a toxic relationship for the better part of 50 years…. Don’t hold off on doing things you want to because of how someone else might react? That explains why everyone cheats ….. According to Jack, the new ranch looks and feels like the old ranch. It probably smells like the old ranch too. As if Jack would remember what the old art and furniture looked like. If you’ve seen one paisley embroidered cushion you’ve seen them all. Who’s living in the other ranch?
