What are you gonna do? Kill me here in broad daylight? Phyllis demands answers. I know I hurt you and your family, Sharon says calmly. Why don’t you take responsibility then? Phyllis challenges. Summer would like an answer too. Sharon wishes she could remember. Phyllis loudly recites her long list of grievances. Don’t you dare apologise to me. I’ll never, ever forgive you. If Mike gets you off, I will get justice myself and show you no mercy.

You’re not going to defend yourself?! Phyllis taunts Sharon (who says there IS no defence) Who’s this act for? There’s no one here. Summer tries to intercede – I’m not defending her – I’m trying to protect YOU. You just got out of the hospital. Don’t tell me to calm down! No one believed me! Don’t you dare pretend you’re insane. You won’t get away with it. You’re absolutely right, Sharon agrees.

Kyle’s tired of talking about his parents – let’s talk about something else. How was Thanksgiving? Claire loved it; this family holiday stuff is all new to her. They kiss passionately on the park bench.

Nikki really thought Jack had come to his senses. After she leaves, Diane thinks she sounds jealous. We put on that show for our son, but did it work? Or have we lost him?

You’re not gonna lose Kyle, Jack promises Diane. Reading a text message, he announces good news; Victor had a fire sale; he bought up all the divisions of Glacade for pennies on the dollar. Diane rewards him with a kiss.

Ester welcomes Nikki and Victor at Chancellor-Winters, I mean Abbott Chancellor. It’s just Chancellor, she’s happy to hear and when Nikki agrees that she’ll keep her receptionist job. Thank you Mrs C, she looks up at the ceiling.

Sharon agrees with Phyllis whole-heartedly; she wants to do what she can to help Phyllis and her family heal. OK – then fire Mike and plead guilty. Serve the sentence they give you in full. That’s enough!!! Mike comes in to bellow.

Diane asks Kyle if he’s given any more thought into taking over her job. He’d like to speak to her in private.

Phyllis has bad news for Mike – Sharon doesn’t need a lawyer; she’s pleading guilty. She’ll still need someone to represent her on court, Mike ‘repulses’ Phyllis. She wants to ‘take a stab’ at Sharon’s motive. Sharon tried to kill Phyllis to shut her up – she’d now like to hear what she has to say. Phyllis knows she’s trying to get past her grief over that horrific night. As well as you know me, you should have known as hard as you fought for justice for your kid I’d fight just as hard to get justice for mine. She leaves Sharon in tears.

Whoa – you’ve really made this place your own, Victor admires her new office. She’s brought all the kids gifts and a framed photo of Katherine.

Claire and Jack look nervous as Kyle and Diane chat in the dining room. Her explanation is weepy, long-winded and confusing – she’d hoped that their plan would remind Kyle that he loved them. Did it work??

On the patio, Sharon believes that Phyllis is right; she wants to honour Cassie by taking responsibility for everything she did wrong. I don’t need a trail – I want to plead guilty and go straight to prison.

Victor takes a couple of photos of Nikki behind her new desk; he’ll send one out to everyone. Nikki’s ready to take on the world. The world better watch out, Victor looks proud.

Victor was using you, to hurt your father, Diane tells Kyle that he’s free because of what they did. As much as this hurt, she knows Victor would have hurt him more. She’d give up anything to save him – anything – even your love for me.

Jack hopes they haven’t pushed Kyle away forever. When they come out, Kyle says he understands and accepts what they did – it was reckless and manipulative but he didn’t give them another choice – I made mistakes. He’d like to move forward – he’d be honoured to come back to the family company. First Diane hugs him, they Jack (as Claire clings onto Diane; both weepy.
