Claire gushes about her grandmother’s drive – I want to learn from you and be the best. Nikki hugs her – I’m so excited. Vikki and Cole aren’t – and immediately get a chance to share their concerns. After Claire slips out to visit Harrison, Summer walks Connor to the stables and leaves Nick to ask Chelsea if something’s going on between her and Adam.

Audra’s brought a birthday cake over to Nate’s. Introduced, Amy can see that she has reservations. Nate’s decided to help her look for Damien. Thanks so much! Amy leaps into his arms. It’s a Thanksgiving Day miracle.

Kyle will be here, Jack reassures Diane. As if summoned, Kyle arrives with pumpkin pie from CL’s. Seeing his Mom, he correctly guesses that everyone knows (that they’ve all been duped) We are NOT OK, he makes clear. Diane has something to say that might make a difference.

You really think this is the right time? Jack gives Diane side-eye. Claire arrives to see her favourite guy – Harrison runs down to show off his artwork – Claire helped me; she’s the best! She is, Kyle agrees. In the background, Summer does not look thankful.

Cole verbalises the concerns he and Vikki have about Claire getting caught up in Victor’s ‘business moves’. Nikki won’t let anything happen to her granddaughter. She then relays her awkward run in with Billy – he seemed angry and bitter, like a man with nothing left to lose.

Chelsea and Adam are just co-parenting; she doesn’t want to discuss Billy and Sally; it’s painful. Why are you asking her about my personal life? Adam appears to glare at Nick.

Nate had Damien’s hair tested – I officially have a brother. Audra looks unimpressed in background as Amy decides she can leave this earth at peace (though that will also depend on Damien’s reaction to all the news)

Her Mom’s doing a lot better – Summer’s taking turkey sandwiches over to the hospital. She and Harrison have a touching moment. But, over his little shoulder, Summer frowns at Kyle and Claire laughing quietly.

Ashley and Traci scold Jack for lying to them. He has a lot to be grateful for – but sorry Billy’s not coming. No, he’s not with Vikki and the kids, Jack hopes he’ll burst in with pies any minute.

Claire told Victor how she felt about what he did to Kyle and Lily. Kyle bets that went over well. My grandfather seemed to respect that I have some Newman fire in me, she boasts.

Adam tells Nick to mind his own business. When Chelsea goes to join the family, Nick scolds him for going to see Sharon (I asked you not to) We have history, Adam suggests his brother thank him – ’tis the season, right? he walks off.

Declining a seat beside his father, Kyle takes Billy’s spot – Diane can sit beside Jack and make up for all the time they pretended to hate each other. Pinot anyone? Alan breaks the tension. Diane now announces that she’s stepping aside so that Kyle can work alongside his father.

Amy tells Nate and Audra about Damien fixing a bird’s wing when he was a kid. When she suddenly feels tired, Nate escorts her to the couch. Audra returns with water. Amy apologises for becoming emotional – she lied about being afraid to die. Birthday cake just might become a new tradition, Nate lightens the mood.

At Victor’s side, Nikki talks about the house Victor rebuilt for her. He’s worked hard to protect his family – family means everything to me, he adds – cheers.

You’d give up your job for me? And you’re onboard with this? Kyle seems suspicious of his parents. Yes, they both say (Diane more tearfully) I love you – I’ll be ready to be a family again when you are. To family, all echo and clink glasses.

The Newmans raise a glass – to family, Victor leads the toast. All clink glasses and parrot him – to family.

Next Week; Sharon’s case is with the DA now, Chance tells Nick. Yes – because she confessed – something doesn’t sit right with Nick. I need your help … Jack has an idea he wants Diane to consider…. Have we met before? Claire asks a woman outside of Society (with Kyle beside her). I don’t believe so, the disguised Jordan fakes an accent then hurries off.

My Thoughts – If Amy doesn’t want to put pressure on Nate maybe she shouldn’t ask him twice, within the span of minutes, if he’s made a decision. Calling Damian his ‘brother’ is so transparently an attempt to force familiarity. Let me guess – Damien will immediately catch Audra’s eye… Ah, so that popular spot in the park is the ‘park overlook’ – what does it overlook? Probably the only other spot in the park we ever see ….. I’m sure it’s not news to Claire that her grandpa was raised in an orphanage. She did ‘study’ the Newmans for years so had probably read Ruthless cover to cover.
