Jill didn’t want it this way – she gave Billy so many chances. It’s out of her hands. Victor comes along to confirm that Chancellor belongs to him. You’ve failed your mother, Billy Boy. Jill takes Billy aside – you’re not ready. Victor will protect her and Kay’s legacy. I have no choice. You DO have a choice – there’ll be no coming back from this, Billy leaves Jill to sob. Vikki follows Billy outside – what happened? Tell your father – this isn’t over, Billy snarls. Meanwhile, Mariah tells Tessa that she’s got a bad feeling – something’s not right. Nick’s not back and her Mom’s not picking up.
Open your eyes! Nick shouts at Phyllis (as sirens wail in the background) Sharon peeks through the trees – of God, what have I done?!
Nick calls Summer to say that her Mom was in an accident – call Daniel – I’ll meet you at Memorial.
Chance tells Nick that there’s two sets of tire marks – someone veered into Phyllis’ lane. On purpose!? The driver didn’t even check on her!? Nick’s outraged – what kind of sick person does something like this!?
Faith?! Faith!? Finding then house empty, Sharon sobs into a pillow. It’s too much – it’s gone way too far, fantasy-Nick reports that Phyllis’ car is totalled – she’s unconscious. I made it here in one piece, Sharon’s sure Phyllis will be OK! How much more damage will you do to keep your secret? Nick gently asks.
Victor updates Nikki but won’t tell anyone else – he wants Abby and Devon to remember this day fondly. They then thank everyone for coming to celebrate this wonderful occasion. Jack rolls his eyes as Victor speaks of trust and devotion. All cheer and clink glasses as the newlyweds kiss.
Sharon doesn’t want to hear it. I’m on your side, Nick vows – always. Something happened to Phyllis – she may have died. First Daniel loses Heather and now maybe his mother? Picking her phone up, Sharon doesn’t remember leaving it there – or a car crash. Your mind’s shutting down; blocking everything out, Nick claims. When Sharon rants about Phyllis’ accusations, Nick knows she’s terrified and you should be. What if it was me? Sharon’s genuinely confused. I wanted to shut Phyllis up – what if I killed her too?
Vikki ambushes her Dad – why did Billy storm out of here? You got Chancellor and Billy got nothing – she also doesn’t appreciate her Dad ‘stonewalling’ her. We’ll discuss it tomorrow, Victor saunters away (leaving Cole to calm Vikki down)
Taking a seat with Jill, Lily isn’t happy to hear that she’s selling Chancellor to Victor. You can’t give up like this. This isn’t what Jill wanted. Again she uses the phrase ‘I had no choice’ – my own body is betraying me. Jill’s mind is made up. Besides, Victor’s right – Lily belongs at her family company. You’ll shine at Winters. Let it go – let me have some peace, Jill pleads.
As Claire and Kyle chat with Vikki and Cole, Diane interrupts in need of a word with her son – it’s important. Kyle glares at her.
Nick’s off to Memorial. Chance will get to the hospital as soon as he can. If someone did this to Phyllis on purpose, we’ll find them. Nick then gets a call from a frantic Sharon – there’s been an accident, he informs – and is shocked when Sharon asks – Phyllis OK!? How did you know Phyllis was involved? he wonders.
As Victor watches, Diane insists on speaking to Kyle – NOW. This is what she does, Kyle jokes at his Mom’s expense – she relies on other people’s good manners. Yeah, Vikki knows – we’re used to your Mom’s tactics. It’s OK, hear her out, Claire advises Kyle – then we can get back to our night.
As everyone watches from a safe distance, Diane rejects Kyle’s ‘lecture’ on etiquette and loudly announces that she’s taken control of Glacade – as of this moment, you’re officially out.
Please tell me Phyllis is alright! Sharon cries – tell the doctors to make her wake up! Were you involved in this? Nick asks. I’m scared – I need to see you, Sharon pleads – come as soon as you can ¬click¬
Who’s that, wearing black gloves and using a swipe key to enter her seedy motel room? Why it’s everyone’s favourite villain, Jordan – and she’s with an equally infamous villain; Ian Ward. It went exactly according to plan, she reports. How wonderful, Ian’s smile somehow makes him look even more evil.
My Thoughts: OK, so are we all just supposed to forget that Ashley experienced childhood trauma so severe that she developed ‘dissociative identity disorder’ (DID)? Aren’t Jack and Traci the slightest bit curious as to what abuse or torment they clearly didn’t notice going on right under their noses? .. Assuming Ashley’s outpatient treatment includes an assortment of prescribed medications, is it wise for her to be drinking champagne? It would have been an interesting twist if seeing a replica of the stairs she miscarried on (thanks to Adam) triggered Ashley… So Victor spent a lot of months and money replicating a home ‘brick by brick’ that was outdated when Sharon burned it down decades ago – he didn’t think to add a few square feet so that there’d be two spots to entertain? I wonder if the guests had to move their own chairs and will they have to move them yet again to make room for a dance floor? If only Phyllis had made it another few feet, her car could have put that decrepit house out of its misery once and for all. And Sharon would have indirectly been the one to light the torch – again. All those years of therapy really paid off. Good thing Sharon has two back up jobs. She might as well burn her psychology degree too…. Since the crash seems to have happened basically on the Newmans front lawn, why didn’t Nick go fetch one of the two doctors in attendance? Sure Nate’s too shaky to perform surgery and Alan’s a psychologist – but they’re still doctors… OK – the ranch – just one more thing. If the ranch Nikki and Victor have been living at for years wasn’t built over the last one, why did it have the same dungeon Victor imprisoned Julia’s lover in? And then Jordan? And since she’s back, will he have built another dungeon, just in case? … Why didn’t either Sharon or Phyllis’ airbags go off?
