Having something to show Nikki, Victor will get back to Kyle regarding their next steps. On her way out, Nikki hisses at Diane – ‘I meant what I said’.
Diane has nothing more to say to Kyle. You don’t get to play victim to the son you abandoned! he shouts. What did you say to Victor!? Are you going to sue Glacade!?
Summer doesn’t want to lose Chance but worries about her brother and Lucy. Chance has been wracking his brain to see if he missed something – if evidence points elsewhere, he’ll follow it. Summer has to wonder if her Mom’s right – there was fear in Sharon’s eyes today.
Arguing in the middle of the dining room, Kyle demands answers. Diane’s indignant – all you see in me is deceit and betrayal. Because that’s all there is – trying to collude with Victor against me proves that. Oh? You expected him not to tell me? Kyle enjoys her shock.
Butting heads a bit over Jack, Victor’s only giving Diane enough rope to hang herself. Nikki wants Victor’s word that he’ll leave Jack alone – end this war.
Victor agrees to leave Jack alone if Nikki will steer clear of Diane (sort of) He has to wait for a call to make sure everything’s ready for the big surprise. Still a man of mystery, Nikki purrs.
Harrison’s beating Claire at Go Fish when Kyle comes home after a rough day.
Getting a text, Victor’s about to take Nikki to the ranch for her surprise when Diane marches in. How the hell did you get past security? he blusters.
After Harrison scurries off to the kitchen for cookies, Kyle invites Claire to go out for dinner with him.
If you don’t mind, this is private, Diane has the nerve to expect Nikki to leave Victor’s office (not happening) Furious that Victor blabbed to Kyle, Diane threatens to sue Glacade unless he fires Kyle and lets her run it. Don’t think too long – my patience is wearing thin. After Diane leaves, Victor changes the subject – it’s time to show Mrs Newman her surprise.
Summer thinks Chance might not be objective because he dated Sharon. He’s sure she’s not capable of murder. If evidence turned up against her, he’d pursue it. All Phyllis has is decades of hatred for Sharon and desperation to free Daniel. When Kyle and Claire arrive, Summer seems annoyed to hear that Harrison’s been left home to watch a movie with Mrs Martinez. That seems like a thing, Chance observes – is that a problem? Chance he asks a sulky Summer.
I don’t care what those two do on their own time, Summer’s lie doesn’t seem to fool the detective.
At their table, Claire wonders if she should go home and watch the movie with Harrison. Though already invited, Claire agrees to go to Abby’s wedding with Kyle. She doesn’t need him to apologise for not telling her that Victor is Glacade’s mystery investor. What happens if you fail one of his loyalty tests? Kyle’s not sure he wants to find out.
Back in her suite, Diane pours a drinks and makes a call. Hey – it’s me. No – things are NOT good. We’ve got a problem – things aren’t turning out the way we planned.
Victor leads Nikki through front doors of dark wood, frosted glass and ornamental wrought iron. Removing her blindfold, she almost faints and covers her mouth – how can this be? Welcome home my love, welcome home, Victor says.
