Summer’s not convinced that Sharon killed Heather. Phyllis IS sure, and equally sure that Sharon will make an appearance tomorrow to play the victim. ‘I’ll give her a real reason to suffer’.
Amy asks Nate to think about it some more. He hasn’t thought about anything else. He thinks Amy should hire a professional, and maybe Damien shouldn’t be told that the father he loved wasn’t his biological father. Amy can’t die leaving her son all alone, with no family. And she doesn’t have the resources to hire a PI. Ahhh – Nate has to wonder if this is a scam.
No, Phyllis’ plan won’t backfire – she knows Sharon better than anyone. Heather’s service isn’t the place to play PI, Summer tries to dissuade her Mom. After butting heads over Christine, Phyllis marches out.
No, Billy’s not offering to take a lesser position, but co-CEO would work. Phyllis? She no longer works at Abbott Chancellor. Lily refuses to work with him again. Yes, Jill gave him an ultimatum – but he’s coming to Lily because he respects what she put into the company. This is the best shot we have to save AC we care about so deeply. In the background, Phyllis’ jaw drops in horror.

When Phyllis demands a word with Billy, Lily escapes – he’s all yours. Maybe everyone’s right and you don’t know what you’re doing. You begged Lily to take MY position. Take care of your family – I’ll protect Abbott Chancellor! he bolts.
Maybe you just want me to pay for a PI, Nate suggests. Amy pulls out an envelope of things to leave with Nate – photos, a lock of Damien’s hair he can test to confirm they’re related. Do you believe me?
Billy joins Traci and Alan on the patio to ask what they’re giggling about. Alan’s moving in, Traci announces. Also, Ashley’s been discharged and will be back for the wedding (that Billy’s obviously not excited about)
One more for the road, Phyllis orders a drink – then whines to the bartender. I’m tough, I’ve been to hell and back. Near tears, she admits that the toughest of women reach their breaking point. Tonight I’ve hit mine.
Billy’s not a card-carrying member of Devon’s fan club. He tried to get Lily to make moves against CA. Billy has no choice – he can’t fail.

Nate promises to treat these items with care and think about it some more. Amy’s enjoying her time in GC (she’s reminded of Nathan) and get in touch with some old friends while she waits. Thanks again, Damien’s not a bad person, she reiterates at the front door.
Traci wishes Billy wouldn’t be so concerned with what others think about him. He lists everyone coming at him from all angles; Jill, Victor, Lily, the press – Chance walked out on him. Traci’s insistent – fight to show those people they’re wrong about you. She’s so sorry he’s going through all this. Refusing to lose, Billy vows to battle every enemy that comes his way – even his Mother. The gloves are coming off.
Phyllis continues to bore the bartender. Work can be a godsend when things go bad. You’re thinking I could get another job. I could, a great job. I’m on a mission now; the greatest mission of my life. It’s life-altering. I don’t care what anyone thinks of me right now. I don’t need anyone’s help or opinion. I will not lose this fight to save my son’s life. I have a plan.
