Billy’s giving Sally a long-winded, play by play retelling of the poker game he lost. She knows her stuff – great story losing with four Jacks. You should have seen the fifth Jack, Billy quips.
Daniel joins his Mom at the club to confirm that she lied to Sharon about having proof. Right – but Phyllis is sure if she applies Sharon, she’ll crack.
Relaying that Phyllis claims to have proof, Sharon’s sad to think that he believes she really did kill Heather.
Kyle tells Claire that Summer thought Harrison might be sick. Please don’t go. What we did was nice, but she thinks she should go ¬kiss¬
Sally’s story is about having a food fight with Steffie Forrester (which Billy is able to pull up online)
Nick’s sympathetic to what Phyllis is going through but what she’s doing to Sharon is unfair. He told her so and will talk to her again. Sharon might get a restraining order against Phyllis, to protect herself.
Phyllis is frustrated that Daniel’s not convinced that Sharon’s guilty. She’ll be relentless in her bid to make Sharon confess. I’m going to set a trap for her and make her pay.
Claire will see Kyle in the morning. She wants this but, after Summer’s interruption, now’s not the right time. Kyle will be waiting when she’s ready ¬kiss¬
For a second time, Billy walks Sally to her door. When she pops her vampire teeth in, he wonders if he has to worry about her biting him. Maybe – you do have a nice neck, she admits. When Billy suggests a nightcap, Sally gives him a ‘not yet’ – but she does enjoy spending time with him. Now it’s his turn to pull a coin from behind her ear. A few steps down the hallway, he gets a text from Jill (pushing him to make things right at Chancellor)
At Sharon’s, Nick hands over her keys – Phyllis is just trying to protect her son. Sharon must protect her ‘fragile’ self. Nick worries a restraining order might make Sharon look guilty – let me talk to her. He’ll always have her back ¬hug¬
Summer joins her brother and Mom at the club to hear about the plan. Phyllis is going to gaslight Sharon into thinking she has proof that she killed Heather. Daniel’s not convinced – Sharon’s fragile; he doesn’t want to push her over the edge. Phyllis won’t be talked out of her plan. Looking into Sharon’s ‘vague, googly eyes’ convinced her 100% that she’s guilty. Daniel appreciates his Mom’s commitment to getting justice for Heather; that WILL happen, whether Sharon’s guilty or not.
My Thoughts: Of course, it would be nice if Heather’s actual killer was the one who went to trial (whether or not she goes to prison is for the court/jury to decide) But – Sharon has a long history of mental health issues; Sharon is, by her own admission, currently mentally ‘fragile’; a long list of witnesses have seen Sharon’s hostility towards Heather, Daniel and Lucy; Sharon has been open about how seeing Daniel triggers her; Sharon was the last one to see Heather alive. If Chris can’t convince a jury of reasonable doubt, then she’s not as good as everyone thinks she is. She should be looking for any CCTV footage between the apartment and the river and having Daniel’s vehicle and the building’s staircase checked for DNA … Claire may have have been taught everything there is to know about the Newmans, how to be the best office assistant ever and how to ‘read people’ but she’s obviously never been taught how to kiss. She and Kyle have zero chemistry; zilch, nada. They make Victor and Nikki’s dry pecks look passionate. If there wasn’t someone in the wings shouting ‘MORE PASSION for the love God!!!!’ there should have been… And whatever happened to the Halloween parties we used to love? None of the adults even bothered to dress up? Lame…. Considering Claire and Harrison were kidnapped from that very house, why wouldn’t Kyle have locked the door after Summer left? And why does Summer continue to walk in and out like she owns the place?
