In the park, Sharon tells Nick that she felt cooped up. Nick’s glad to hear she has another therapy session scheduled but still concerned – you said you couldn’t live with yourself. Nick can’t just let that go. Sharon tells him that Daniel came by – said some things. She feels terrible that she added to his pain. How? I went to see Heather the night she was killed. Yes, Nick already knew that. How? Phyllis told him. What else did she say? Nick can’t remember what she was rambling about – but, be prepared; Phyllis thinks you killed Heather.

Chris is staying; the jet’s ready to take Lucy to Vancouver. I need a minute, Lucy huffs out. Summer apologises. Chris is sorry too – she thought this was a done deal. The case against Daniel isn’t as weak as she thought. Summer reassures – we’re gonna get through this. Chris having his back gives Daniel a glimpse of hope.

Drinking martinis at the club’s bar, Diane removes her rings and puts them in her purse. Kyle accosts her – I want answers. Look me in the eye and tell me the truth – did you actually love Dad and me? Or were we tools you used to get what you wanted?

What went so wrong, so fast? Traci asks. Not so fast – Jack didn’t want to believe what everyone thought (of Diane) I should have listened. No – Diane proved herself to everyone. We all saw the change – we couldn’t ALL be wrong.

When Diane confirms her love for her husband and son, Kyle reminds – you abandoned me. Diane can’t defend that – it’s too painful to think about. Walking away from you is the greatest regret of my life. Kyle brings up her firing him. To answer the question – Diane’s love for him and Jack is real and always will be.

Sharon’s not happy about Phyllis’ accusation. The police wouldn’t suspect Daniel if there wasn’t evidence, she points out. Nick adds that Phyllis thinks he’s being framed – by you. She wonders why you didn’t go to the police to say you saw Heather. Sharon can’t blame Phyllis for trying to protect her son – we’d do the same for one of our kids. No, Nick disagrees – he wouldn’t frame an innocent person – and he doesn’t think Sharon would either.

Jack made a colossal mistake. It kills him that Kyle stole from Jabot – but Diane was so vicious in the way she went after him like a common thief – and she wouldn’t consider that Kyle betrayed us because we betrayed him. Traci implores Jack to let the dust settle before making any decisions. He asks his sister not to jump in to help – this is far deeper and more complex than you can imagine.

You’ve successfully alienated both me and Dad – putting your need for power above us, Kyle gloats. Diane never meant for it to play out this way. And yet it did, he walks away.

Outside Society, Summer now thinks Lucy should join Danny on tour – your Dad will worry about you if you stay here. No, he won’t be alone, Summer and Phyllis have Daniel’s back. Lucy looks inside.

Chris needs to hear Daniel’s side, from the beginning – then she’ll figure out how to get him out of this nightmare.

We don’t know how far Phyllis is willing to go. Nick doesn’t want this to reverse the progress Sharon’s made. She feels she’s past the worst of it. But with Phyllis blabbing to Summer and Chance, Sharon feels like SHE’S the one being framed here. Nick’s sure Phyllis will let it go. Sharon now realises she has to do something about that.
