Chance joins Phyllis at CL’s. You know Daniel’s innocent, she asks if he found anything. Let the police do their job, Chance asks what info Phyllis has for him. Sharon was the last person to see Heather alive. She’s the killer, Phyllis is sure.
Sharon knows the daily struggle of loss and grief all too well. Don’t let it take you to a dark place – stay strong. I shouldn’t have come here, Daniel leaves looking less confident. Sharon’s left to whine to Cameron. This is almost over, he promises.
Sharon’s 100% guilty, Phyllis is convinced. Yes, Chance used to date her – she’s kind and empathetic. You two have a colourful history, Chance also brings up Phyllis framing an innocent woman for her faked death.
Now at the club, Daniel gets a videocall from Danny (who wants to come home to help his son)
Sharon flashes back to dragging Heather’s body down the stairs, then dumping her over the bridge. She imagines Nick’s come over to ask her what’s going on and offer support. I made a mistake, she cries. I’m right here – I’ll help you, Nick implores. Be careful, Cameron warns. Go away, Sharon demands. I’m a good person – this isn’t me. Cameron mocks her – Nick won’t come to your rescue. You’re weak and too lovesick to see straight. Sharon turns to exchange a smile with Nick.
Though Danny’s ready to cancel the rest of the tour and fly home, Daniel wants to send Lucy to stay with him on tour. He needs Chris to come back and defend the prime suspect (him)
Chance doesn’t share Phyllis’ theory. There’s zero evidence that Sharon killed Heather. You’re biased, Phyllis wonders if Summer knows he’s railroading her brother. Chance goes onto the patio to answer his phone.
Phyllis follows Chance to the patio – please tell me something; is it good news? Bad news? Chance leaves her frustrated.
Imploring his father to take Lucy, Daniel needs to keep her safe. Whoever’s setting him up might not be done with our family. Asked about the evidence, Daniel says it’s solid enough that he expects a knock on the door any moment – ask Chris to come as fast as she can.
Cameron doubts Nick will stand by her when he hears that she killed Heather and framed Daniel. I want you gone! Sharon yelps. I’m the one rescuing you – Nick will ‘do the right thing’ and go to the cops, he warns. This needs to end! Sharon MUST make things right. You need ME, Cameron argues. Imaginary Nick looks up from the fireplace to take her hand – I’m here, he offers help. When real-Nick drops by, Sharon bursts into his arms and into tears – I can’t do this anymore!
My Thoughts: OK – I’ve only watched Law and Order from time to time, so bear with me – but shouldn’t Chance have taken a photo of the evidence as it was found before removing it? Shouldn’t the front door be closed while they search the crime scene? Shouldn’t they have put their gloves on AFTER entering the apartment? Shouldn’t they all be wearing those white coveralls and bootie-covers so they don’t contaminate the scene? Knowing that someone dragged Heather’s body out of the apartment, shouldn’t they be checking the elevator and stairs? (there’s no way Sharon cleaned up each step) Perhaps Chance should be shining his blacklight outside the apartment to follow the trail of blood/DNA. When questioning Daniel, Chance said he wanted to rule things out – then told Phyllis that he’s just following the evidence – yet, he’s doing nothing to rule out the unbalanced woman who has motive and was the last person known to have seen Heather alive. We saw the other day that the club has security cameras in the hallway – are we supposed to believe Daniel’s building has none? … I’m pretty sure Sharon told Chance that she went by the apartment to apologise to Daniel (yet tells Daniel that she went to apologise to Heather and Lucy) Can’t he prove that he was at the movies with Lucy? …. Daniel wants to wrap his arms around Lucy to protect her – but instead, will send away on a rock tour? Because she ‘likes music’? If Chris returns to GC, who will console Lucy (and keep her away from the booze) while her grandpa’s rehearsing, promoting and performing? When does Lucy go back to school?… I sure wish they’d bring Paul back for a day or so to investigate his daughter’s murder. Lord knows when Chance will clue in.
