Rebound, revenge sex – in Sally’s experience, it always comes back to bite you – she doesn’t want to make any more mistakes. After Billy whines a bit about his Mom, Sally says anyone who doesn’t have faith in him running Chancellor is crazy. Billy appreciates the support. Inside, Phyllis continues to fume.

Claire and Harrison easily persuade Kyle to go to the farm with them.

Nate joins the ‘unlikely lunch duo’. Audra and I have a few things in common, Lily hugs Nate and leaves him to say that he spoke to Devon about a position at Winters. Audra’s ticked off – I’m not a charity case. I said if you tried to fix things this would be over! Nate stops her from leaving – you’d be a huge asset to Winters.

In the park Devon asks Mr Newman how he can act like things are cool between them – you used my sister and screwed her over.

Yes, Adam did tell Victor that Chelsea and Billy broke up. He and Sally are hanging out all over town. Sally hasn’t stopped caring about you, Chelsea states. Adam’s accepted that he and Sally are done – are you still holding out hope that Billy will forgive you? Maybe it’s time we both move on. With each other? Is that what you really want? Chelsea challenges.

Connor feels it – he wants us to be a family again – and Adam’s in awe of Chelsea – how she fought for their son. We have a messy past but the last few months brought out the best in us – we could have an amazing future. Chelsea thinks Adam’s trying to fill a void in his life. Be honest, take the leap – admit your feelings are as strong as mine, he challenges her. It could be just the three of us, like Connor wants.

Sally has to get to work. Screw the doubters – you’ve got this, she tells Billy. Phyllis wastes no time rejoining Billy to mock his love-fest/pity-party. Get back together with Chelsea – spare us the agony of watching you dig yourself into a hole. You’re dead wrong, Billy says simply.

What’s the problem? Victor feigns innocence. You promised Lily a job you had no intention of giving her, Devon’s straight-forward. Victor would like Lily to forget about running Abbott Chancellor – he’d like her to work with Devon at Winters, it’s what Neil would want.

Back from their trip to the farm, Harrison thanks his Dad for coming. With a hug, he runs upstairs. Kyle thanks Claire for making him forget everything that’s going on.

Phyllis vents – she feels powerless to help Daniel and Lucy – all she can do is pray for justice. Billy can’t imagine what they’re going through. You and I are friends first. Phyllis wants to focus on making Abbott Chancellor a success – get rid of Victor – get Jill onboard. We can convince her, together.

Chelsea admits she may have imagined what it would be like to reunite their family – but knows it would end badly. Look at our track record; all the good intentions and hopes for the future. We’ve been there – it always crumbles. Connor wouldn’t survive another break up. Chelsea does have feelings for Adam but that love almost destroyed us – we’re better people – worthy of love – but not with each other (she leaves in tears)

Devon turned down my pitch to hire you, Nate tells Audra. No more help – she’ll do things on her own terms. Nate has advice – as a former ‘backstabbing asshat’, he learned to trust people who cared about him. If you choose to fight, I’ll support you 100%

Harrison up in the bath with all his toys, Kyle tells Claire that she’s officially off the clock. You brightened my day – he hopes he can protect Harrison from what’s going on. Claire’s never seen Jack and Diane so angry. Kyle fears they’re all past the point of no return.

Phyllis wants to have a conversation with Jill. When her phone pings, she reluctantly reads Newman Media’s article on Abbott Chancellor. You’re in over your head – you (Billy) bungled a deal with Odyssey 7 – can’t hang onto staff – have no vision… This is from Victor, she’s sure – this is what we have to fight.

Chelsea marches back into the dining room to confront Adam. What the hell’s this!? Are you going after Billy because of me!?

Sally reads in the park – ‘Abbott’s erratic management style has blown apart the c-suite before the company’s even gotten off the ground’. Beautiful day, Victor comments – probably not for you; you and Adam broke up – hopefully for the last time. After this hatchet job on Billy, Sally’s glad Adam’s not in her life.

In the jazz lounge, Lily’s reading the article when Devon joins her. It’s a hit piece on Billy from Newman Media. Devon thought she’d be happy about the smear campaign. Yeah, Lily doesn’t know whether to be thrilled or pissed off.

Audra didn’t come this far to lose everything to a trust fund baby like Kyle. She tells Nate that she’ll Glacade back – taking Kyle down will be the best part.

Kyle vents to Claire. He doesn’t know how we got here – my father’s always been my rock – everything I wanted to be. I never saw it coming; how they turned me into the bad guy. My Mom says I’ve failed them as a son – it hurts that my Dad’s disappointed in me. Kyle thought he could heal but after last night – the accusations – my Mother was a gold digger who never loved me? Was the love we had a lie? Claire hugs him.
