Nate knows how much Audra cares about Glacade. She feels Tucker’s company was all she had to show for all the time she wasted on him.
Lily’s on videochat with Jill in the park. How are things at Abbott Chancellor? (even Jill doesn’t care for the new name)
Lily fears things will go from bad to worse; Billy will crash and burn, taking the company down with him.
Arriving at CL’s, Chelsea excuses herself to take a call from Anita while Adam overhears Jack doing damage control on the phone. When Adam asks what’s going on, Jack correctly assumes that he’s the reason Billy and Chelsea have broken up.
Jill has absolute faith in Lily’s take on things. She’s not surprised to hear that Billy fired her (she talked to Chance) She assumed he’d come to his senses and hire her back. Lily gives Jill more bad news – Billy hired Phyllis and Victor’s coming for Chancellor.
Nate’s brought Audra upstairs to look in the mirror for a pep talk. You’ve got this. You gave up your dreams of being an artist, lost your father, lost a baby. These challenges would have broken most – but they made you tougher. You’ll come back from this – because that’s what you do ¬kiss¬
Jill doesn’t feel Lily’s information a burden – she wishes she’d come to her sooner. Apologising, Jill vows to make it up to Lily. Billy’s mismanaged the company to the point that it’s in jeopardy. Yes, Lily confirms.
Still in the park, Billy and Sally give up on getting any work done to discuss how Adam and Chelsea arrived finishing each other’s sentences. Maybe they belong together. There’s no going back for Sally. Billy wishes he was there. You’ll get there, she pats his leg.
Jack has nothing bad to say about Adam reconnecting with Chelsea for the sake of their son – he only wishes he could resolve things with his son. Connor’s taught Adam that the heartache and love all means something. Connor’s gonna be OK, Jack assures. And what about Kyle? Diane and I may have already lost our son, he sighs.
Diane clip clops back into the dining room to tell Victor that she and Mike were having a private conversation. Victor just wanted to extend his sympathies. Jack sees what really drives you – greed. You came back for money and power, not to reconnect with your family. Their love warms the cockles of his heart – your happiness is a facade – he sees the cracks in the foundation; the end of your marriage – you’ll lose everything.
Billy’s done his expense report – Sally’s taken photos of the fall leaves for her ‘palette’. Change can be good. Billy got a new place – he needs help with the interior decor. Sure, it’ll be fun.
Time to face the music (at Jabot) Jack’s enjoyed talking to Adam father to father. Chelsea comes back – that looked intense. Is Jack OK? He will be – and so will we, Adam adds.
Her health improving, Jill won’t let her son stress her to death. Billy’s out of control and I’m the only one who can put him in his place. Lily’s mouth twitches with the hint of a smile.
Diane thanks Mike for supporting her – as his friend, she wishes he’d go back to the DA’s office. After she leaves, Mike scolds his boss -just couldn’t help yourself, could you? No – watching the demise of Jack and Diane’s marriage makes Victor happy. His plan is working.
