Cameron again wonders if Sharon’s trying to get caught, in hopes that Nick will ride to her rescue. You’re a madman who’s only in my head – maybe I DO need to be put away! she shrieks.
OK, Devon and Nate will have faith that Lily can hold her own against Billy or anyone else. On her way out, she runs into Billy. We need to talk, he insists. She vows to get Chancellor back – you won’t see it coming. Billy does see it coming and it’s not gonna work.
With Mariah off to Madison, Nick distracts Faith with a touching story from her childhood. This family is strong; so’s your Mom – we’ll see to it.
Cameron finally convinces Sharon that she’ll be rewarded with everything she ever wanted, starting with Nick, AFTER she rights the wrong done to her so many years ago. Yes, he does hate Nick – but he loves Sharon and wants her to be happy. You’re smart enough not to get caught.
As a concerned Devon and Nate watch, Phyllis arrives to stick her hand out at Lily – I’m the new COO. Wow, Lily ignores her to chuckle at Billy – how low can you go?
Phyllis can’t imagine anything lower than double-crossing a partner (which she would never do) You’re getting what you deserve, she adds. Billy finally chimes in to say that he now has a COO he can trust. Did Chance ‘lie to your face’ too? Lily scoffs. No – he had specific requests Billy couldn’t give him.
When Billy lists Phyllis’ qualities, Lily declares him an idiot if he thinks her trustworthy. Billy knows Lily went to Victor. She laughs at his paranoia. I respected your integrity, Billy hopes she’ll be ashamed of what she just did. After Billy leaves, Phyllis parrots ‘what he said’ and follows. That leaves Devon and Nate to approach Lily to ask if it’s true that she’s teamed up with Victor. Are you out of your mind??
Looking at the photo of herself with Nick and Cassie, Sharon’s now ready to do what needs to be done. It’s going to work – it has to, she tells Cameron.
Mom? Mariah knocks on the door of a posh hotel (clearly not the seedy motel)
Nate cautions Lily – Victor doesn’t help people out of the goodness of his heart. He’s ruthless, Devon concurs. Lily points out that their families have been close for years – she’s sure their partnership will last and that once they get rid of Billy, Victor will reinstate her at Chancellor. Did you get it in writing? Nate’s been on the inside. Devon agrees – be careful. Lily knows what Victor’s capable of – and what she’s capable of – stop underestimating me, she leaves in a huff.
Back at the office, Billy asks Phyllis what her gut says. She’s guilty. He’s not a fan of her showing up at CL’s. I’m your wingman; I believe in you, Phyllis is emphatic. Billy’s convinced – we’ll make a good team.
This is the only choice I have, Sharon realises. Answering Mariah’s call, she claims she’s getting ready for the meeting – can I call you back? I’m in Madison, outside your room, Mariah explains. Sharon gives Cameron a look of pure terror.
