Jack’s come to think of Claire as family. Taking care of Harrison is more than a job to her. Jack thinks she’s doing just fine and hopes she’ll stick around.
Nate has a good idea of how Victor’s mind works. Always assume he’s planning his next move. He’ll throw you under the bus if you cross him – don’t enter into his world lightly. Too late, Audra quips. The Newmans draw you in and turn you into someone you didn’t want to be.
Diane tells Victor to mind his own business. Kyle’s a fine young man who Victor respects – I suggest you do the same. Have a nice stroll, he says as Diane storms off. Live your life as you see fit – you’re on your own, Victor leaves Kyle to think.
As expected, Phyllis isn’t intimidated by going against Victor and she’s not above fighting dirty for something she cares about. Nick appears in the club’s entrance to watch her and Billy.
Diane storms into the house to update Jack that Kyle and Victor ganged up on her in the park.
Claire finds Kyle in the second most popular spot in the park. She’s not disappointed that he and his parents didn’t make up in one day. Just the sight of you makes me breathe easier – in fact, you make everything easier, Kyle gushes.
Back at CL’s, Audra hasn’t been fired and she won’t give Kyle the satisfaction of jumping ship. Nate declares her brilliant – Victor may have put up the money – but YOUR drive secured Glacade. And with a blink of an eye, Nate and Audra have teleported themselves to her bedroom.
Nick watches from afar as Phyllis implores Billy to re-hire Daniel. He’s not ready to hire the two-fer just yet. After Billy leaves, Nick joins Phyllis. This MUST stay off the record – Billy’s days at Chancellor are numbered.
Phyllis wants more details. Nick’s already said more than he should have. For once, take something at face value; don’t argue with me. Phyllis can take care of herself – I’m not Sharon. She has to get ready for the fight ahead.
A frustrated Diane falls into the arms of her supportive husband.
Claire tells Kyle to let go of what happened today. He’ll try – you make me want to. They lean in for a tender kiss.
Next Week: Billy behind her, Phyllis extends her hand – I am Abbott Chancellor’s new COO. Wow, Lily leans around Phyllis to glare at Billy… You and Sally were great together but what you had with Mom is something more, Connor tells his Dad (as Chelsea listens) …What you’re suggesting is repulsive, Sharon recoils. It’s not my idea, Cameron corrects – it’s all yours.
