At the house, Claire has Harrison’s backpack all ready for school. Plucking an eyelash off Kyle’s cheek, she has him make a wish. We have to talk, his tone is now serious.
I don’t answer to you, I’m in charge – second guessing me isn’t part of your job description, Billy’s puts Chance in his place – whatever you want will have to wait. I’ve had enough of your opinions today. Then you’re not gonna like this, Chance is sure.
At Newman, Victor updates Nikki on his chat with Lily – she wants Billy out of Chancellor as much as we do.
Running into Jack at Society, Lily updates him on how well the twins are doing in LA – then shocks him with the news that Billy fired her.
Harrison will be in school all day but Kyle still needs Claire – for Harrison, he quickly adds. No, he’s not firing her – but, he doesn’t want to hold her back. Claire guesses he’s referring to Nikki’s job offer.
Nikki’s stunned to hear that Billy fired Lily. Yes, she’s looking for payback – and she wants her job back, Victor adds. Well, that will be MY job, Nikki reminds.
Lily tells Jack that she wants to protect Katherine’s empire (from Billy, it goes without saying)
Write down your complaint and stuff it (in the suggestion box in the cafeteria) Billy has a launch to prepare for. Chance has to wonder if he’s next to be fired. Billy feels like the cop is interrogating him – what, exactly, do you want?
Claire’s not ready to be a corporate drone (no offence) and she and Harrison aren’t done their list of adventures. I’m available for whatever you need – you and Summer, she quickly adds. Yes, she feels Harrison does need her. Because of the tension between me and Summer, Kyle guesses correctly.
Lily tells Jack that Billy sees Chancellor as his last chance at vindication – his inability to consider opinions that aren’t his own will be his undoing.
Billy’s running a billion dollar conglomerate all on his own. Well yeah – because you got rid of everyone else, Chance points out that it’s now just you and me – my name’s on the building. After talking to Jill, Chance is determined to protect his grandmother’s legacy. I’m your new co-CEO, effective immediately.
Kyle agrees that Harrison needs Claire. Summer sees it too. He’s happy to report that things have calmed down between them to the point that they’re meeting with their lawyers to discuss custody. He hopes Claire will stay on as Harrison’s nanny.
