Don’t you care what I’m going through? Katie whines when her Dad’s phone continues to ring.
Daniel and Heather lecture Lucy – who insists she’s learned her lesson. You said that last time (then snuck out on your punishment)
In the hallway, Phyllis tells Nick that he’s a great Dad. Her hand’s on Nick’s cheek when Sharon comes out from behind the curtain.
Summer understands why Chance is concerned. He’s loyal to the company and Katherine’s legacy. Summer suggests he leave before things get worse. Chance has another idea – but it’s risky and radical.
Faith’s awake, Sharon summons Nick back – she thought Phyllis would be gone already. Hearing Phyllis’ voice, Faith tells her to come in (much to Sharon’s chagrin) She apologises – you must be so mad at me.
On the patio, Lucy tells Summer she’s in time to hear her ‘sentence’. Accept it and try to make the best of it, Summer suggests.
Billy’s sorry for being distracted but he’s got a lot on his plate. Everything he’s doing is for Katie and Johnny – one day you’ll inherit a big company with your name on it. Turning his phone off, he hears the many reasons Katie should be captain. Billy’s advice is to keep trying til she gets it right. When you do you’ll prove to everyone you deserved it all along.
Summer watches on Lucy’s sentence is delivered – a thoughtful punishment based on what she’d have been charged with. $250 to Cassie’s Challenge (the amount of a drinking underage fine) 32 hours of community service and drivers ed. will be postponed for a year. Marching inside, Lucy may as well have been sentenced 30 to life.
Faith doesn’t need to be taxed like this, Sharon scoffs at Nick’s suggestion that Phyllis might be a ‘calming influence’. He goes to find a doctor – the sooner we get answers, the sooner we can all go home.
Daniel knows that look – Summer thinks they’re being too hard on Lucy. Au contraire, Summer thinks they’re being too lenient. Heather and Daniel agree – it’s not sinking in. Summer’s suggestion? Lucy needs to look at what she’s done in black and white – have her write a letter of apology to Faith and her family. Daniel likes it.
Returning to find Chance in his office, Billy assumes he’s there to apologise for overstepping earlier. Not exactly, Chance believes it’s time he made a few things clear.
Why would I be mad at you? Phyllis is mystified. You did nothing wrong – Lucy made the mistake. Something worse could have happened if you didn’t go help her. So, I did the right thing? Yes, Phyllis is grateful. You’re not to blame, neither is Lucy. Cameron appears beside Sharon – that’s not true. Someone definitely IS to blame. It’s time real consequences are faced.
