Adam whines about having to stay strong for Connor and Chelsea and feeling like a failure; he failed his son and Sally. I love/need you. Adam promises never to do anything to risk losing Sally again. No – Chelsea and I didn’t sleep together, he lies.
Nothing happened, Adam swears – his relationship with Chelsea is only about Connor. He loves Sally – can’t you see that? Do you believe me? Sally does.
There was no reminiscing, no connection – it was a drunken mistake. Chelsea will do anything to regain Billy’s trust – she wants them to be able to get past this. So does Billy.

Adam hates that he’s been so preoccupied. He doesn’t want to lose Sally. How did I get so lucky? I love you. I’d never do anything purposely to hurt you. Sally hopes the four of them can move past this – for Connor’s sake. Adam can’t imagine life without Sally.
Faith comes home to ask her agitated Mom who she was talking to. I heard you say ‘Please just go away’.
On the patio, Chelsea’s just sent a text. Meanwhile, Billy grips the railing in the park as he shouts at the top of his lungs.
Sally pours drinks – a huge weight has been lifted. Adam reads Chelsea’s text – ‘I told Billy the truth. I had to. I’m sorry’. Something wrong? Sally asks. Just work, Adam lies again.
