Sally’s stabbing at her tablet on the patio when Billy arrives to return her intense look.
In the park, Kyle sends Claire a text – she had so much fun house hunting – see you tomorrow. Oh great, Adam’s not happy to find Kyle in his thinking-spot, admiring the view. Wait, Kyle stops him from huffing off.
Jack and Diane come home for a nightcap. If Victor’s the mystery investor behind Glacade, what is he after? Probably going after his enemies – which seems to be Jack once again.
Kyle and Adam debate nepotism and Newman Media showing Glacade ‘a lot of love’. Enjoy the free press and stop being a condescending ass, Adam suggests.
Jack’s done some sleuthing – all the favourable articles on Glacade are from Newman entities. He tells Diane that Victor replaced Nikki at Newman Media; which is boosting Glacade. Adam’s still in the park with Kyle when Jack calls to ask if they can get together for a drink.
Billy joins Sally on the patio (to display a large tattoo on his right arm) Chelsea needs space and won’t even look me in the eye, he sadly reports. We deserve answers – now, Sally’s fired up (though we both know what happened)
Adam and Kyle talk father to father about their kids for a bit before butting heads again over who’s earned their position. You’re lucky to have Jack as your father. As a father, you should recognise that, Adam has the last word.
Jack’s not going to ask Adam to turn on his father, he just wants information. Diane worries Adam’s in on whatever Victor’s up to.
Jack reassures Diane with a kiss and exits as Kyle arrives to ask where he’s off to. A drink with an old friend, Jack leaves Kyle to taunt Diane – he’s house hunting. Is it really so unbearable here? she asks.
Sally’s tired of the stonewalling and lies – we both know the only thing that could explain it. Losing Eva is what brought her and Adam back together – maybe Connor’s issues brought him and Chelsea back together for that one night.
Over drinks in the jazz lounge, Jack vows to keep this conversation secret. What’s it about? Adam asks. You, Victor, Newman Media and my son, Jack answers.
