At the house, Claire shows Kyle a puppet Harrison made for his Dad (of his Dad) It’s so adorably ugly, they laugh.
In his office, Jack comments that Billy and Kyle have the same chip on their shoulder; it must be his fault. Diane has to side with Billy on one thing – the Abbott name is his and Jill’s as much as it is Jack’s.
Clearly having no desire to talk to Victor, Billy, nevertheless, follows him into the lounge. Watching from the dining room, Lily observes that he doesn’t look too happy. Oh? Nikki hadn’t noticed.
My father’s legacy means everything to me, Jack worries that Billy will sully the Abbott name. Diane reports that Kyle’s been seen ducking into Newman Tower. Victor’s probably funding Glacade. It makes Jack sick to think that his son’s working for his enemy.
In the jazz lounge, Victor tells Billy to ignore the rumours that he plans to take Chancellor out from under him. Are these rumours interfering in your plan to take over my company? Billy wonders.
Lily tells Nikki that she likes to be kept in the loop. As well you should, Nikki informs that Victor feels loyal to Chancellor because Kay sold the company to him. Is he right that things aren’t going well between you and Billy? With all due respect, Lily wonders why Nikki’s so interested.
Harrison’s cleaning up outside with Mrs Martinez. Claire confirms what Kyle suspects; he’s picking up on the tension between him and Summer. Things have been rough the last few months but Kyle now sees light at the end of the tunnel.
Back at Jabot, Diane and Jack rule out Kyle seeing Victor about the custody battle. It’s more likely he’s the secret owner of Glacade. Is letting Kyle fail on his own the best course of action? Diane wonders.
Billy’s unafraid and confident that Victor won’t be able to pull off a hostile takeover. Victor has too much on his plate to go after Glacade. He’s tired of getting calls about Chancellor. It’s ABBOTT Chancellor, Billy corrects. Victor wonders why Jill would put her son in charge – have you heard the rumours about her?
Meanwhile, Lily and Nikki bond over their loyalty to Katherine’s legacy. Lily would never let Billy tank the company. Your accomplishments haven’t gone unnoticed, Nikki secretly hopes that Lily’s the driving force behind Chancellor.
Nikki would hate to see Lily blind-sided by Billy’s hubris. Lily’s keeping an eye on him. She explains why Chancellor means so much to her; Jill is her kids grandmother. Katherine is Devon’s grandmother. Both women always made her feel valued and appreciated. She’d never let Billy or anyone else tarnish or weaken Katherine’s legacy. Thank you – that’s exactly what Nikki needed to hear.
Victor’s happy to hear that Jill’s fine and enjoying her downtime. Billy thinks it best they each stay on their own side of the sandbox. This ain’t a sandbox, it’s a lion’s den, Victor warns Billy to watch his ass. Give your Mother my regards. Have a nice day, he leaves.
