Audra assures Victor that she and Kyle will hash it out and get back to him. Kyle sends her ahead. It’s not about Glacade, it’s personal; about his custody case. Audra finally leaves when Victor dismisses her – kindly close the door. Don’t make me regret hiring you, he warns Kyle.
Chelsea doesn’t want to ‘spin’ things anymore. Tell Billy you feel guilty about us fighting that night, Adam insists she lie. Chelsea doesn’t want to tell lies to cover their lies – and using our son as a prop. This is distracting us from Connor. Billy appears to tell Chelsea ‘we need to talk’.
In the jazz lounge, Nate welcomes Audra home with a kiss. Boasting about her success in Paris, she didn’t (and doesn’t) need Kyle at all. Still not revealing who Glacade’s owner is, Audra doesn’t have a problem with him or her – but she does with Kyle.
Kyle promises Victor that he’ll never regret bringing him onboard. He tried to smooth things over with Summer but she demands he cut Audra out of his life – and that can’t happen, can it? Was that Summer’s idea or yours? Victor wonders.
Summer balks at the suggestion that she’s pining away for Kyle. Phyllis agrees with Chance’s advice (de-escalating things with Kyle is a good idea. This ultimatum might not be) Summer appreciates her Mom’s concern but she needs to think – alone.
It hasn’t been easy for Kyle. I bet, Victor can see that he’s fighting battles on several fronts. Times like this, don’t you think you need allies?
Audra grumbles that Kyle’s meeting with Glacade’s owner right now – something personal, he claims. He or she wants you and Kyle to work together – why would they have a business meeting without you? Nate wonders. Audra suspects Kyle will undermine her. Buy me dinner? Nate agrees.
Chelsea tells Adam to go home to Sally – she’ll talk to him later. I just want to explain. she begins … Billy sits down to cut her off. Please stop, just stop.
Back at Society, Phyllis stops Victor to have a word. Knowing he talked to Kyle and that he doesn’t do anything out of the goodness of his heart, she hopes he’s not using Summer in one of his schemes. If so, you’ll have to go through me. Victor chuckles mockingly.
Victor did a favour for his granddaughter. You don’t do anything that doesn’t align with your own interests, Phyllis wants to make sure her daughter hasn’t unwittingly made a deal with the devil. My granddaughter’s wellbeing is my interest, Victor won’t tell her what he said to Kyle, or why. Have a nice day.
Seated in the dining room, Audra asks Nate what a relationship with him would look like. We’d have dinner, talk about our lives, the good, the bad, the trivial, he answers. We’ve done that, and it’s been enjoyable, Audra’s smile fades when Kyle comes over to repeat that his chat with their boss was personal. Audra doesn’t believe it – how badly did you throw me under the bus this time?
Billy’s changed his mind on backing off. Things have changed; he needs answers. He overheard her at the park and can’t let it go. Whatever you aren’t telling me is haunting you – you gotta tell me. Chelsea swipes a tear away.
Adam comes home to make small talk with Sally about how well Connor’s doing. The three of us had a great day at the park. Sally’s happy for all of them. No, she’s NOT OK. Please, it’s time for you to be honest with me.
Next Week: I’m gonna fly solo at Abbott Chancellor. Your services are no longer needed, Billy stuns Lily …We have to ask ourselves ‘what would Victor do’? Diane brainstorms with Jack. He’s the expert at dirty tactics. Jack hates to lower himself to Victor’s level. If it takes a bit of moral compromise, Diane’s willing to make the sacrifice for their son … Yes or no – did you sleep with Chelsea in Baltimore? Sally confronts Adam.
