In Victor’s office, Audra reports a whirlwind of productivity in Paris. What’s her cover story if she’s seen at Newman? I asked you why my granddaughter’s suing for custody over your partnership with Kyle, Victor then asks if she did anything to provoke Summer. Kyle appears – he’d like an answer too.
At Society, Summer tells her Mom that Chance talked her out of proceeding with the custody battle – but she trusts Kyle even less than she did before.
Chelsea and Adam agree that the last thing they need right now is Connor picking up on their guilt over that night in Baltimore. Billy, Sally! Connor comes from the opposite direction to call out. All four adults look awkward.
Summer got the sense that Victor forced Kyle to negotiate with her but his compromise was to continue joint custody – with him calling all the shots. He’s put you through so much, Phyllis simmers – Paris, Claire, Audra. Summer’s ultimatum was for Kyle to cut all ties with Audra.
Audra denies provoking Summer and doesn’t see how she can be considered a danger to a child she’s never met. She’s at Newman to give Victor an overview of her productive trip. Without me? You didn’t know I’d be here, Kyle points out.
Connor tells Billy and Sally that he’s doing well but is feeling tired so asks his Mom to take him home. With Adam tagging along, neither Billy or Sally get so much as a quick goodbye kiss. Sally now has to consider that Billy’s right – something did happen between themm.
No, Summer wasn’t bluffing. Phyllis doesn’t want Audra near Harrison either but realistically, she can’t see Kyle leaving Glacade or being able to force Audra out. Neither understand why he’s so attached to her. Phyllis has to ask if Summer’s problem is that her ex might be moving on with someone else.
After Audra reports successful meetings with Glacade’s board, Victor brings up the subject of a launch party. Audra wants to make a big splash; giveaways and influencers. Kyle opts for something elegant, sophisticated; invitation-only. We don’t want to come across as inexperienced/immature. Work it out or there’ll be consequences, Victor warns.
Billy doesn’t want to jump to conclusions until he speaks to Chelsea. Do you really think they’ll give us some answers? Sally’s now the skeptical one.
With Connor resting upstairs, Chelsea and Adam chat on the patio about whether Billy and Sally overheard them. They looked hurt, a panicked Chelsea can’t lie to Billy anymore.
You think I’m jealous of Audra!? Summer sputters. No, but Phyllis understands not wanting an ex to be happy with someone else. This is a ‘big ask’ – maybe you’re testing Kyle – to see if he has any lingering feelings for you, Phyllis posits.
