At Newman, Victor updates Nick that Adam’s bringing Connor home. It’s just the two of us – how do you plan on taking Chancellor away from Billy and Jill? Nick wants answers.

Looking exhausted, Billy gets off the elevator to show Lily a mock up of their new logo. She likes it but notes that something’s off with her partner – what’s wrong?

Dropping by Sharon’s, Mariah finds Faith doing dishes – the kitchen was a mess (and so’s the living room) Both are worried – something’s wrong with Mom.

Sitting in the park, Sharon thinks she’s getting a visit from Cassie – but it’s an apparition of Nick who sits beside her. I don’t know what’s wrong with me, she confides.

Victor’s plan for Chancellor is ongoing – no need for Nick to be concerned. Mariah calls – has Nick seen Sharon today? No, he goes into the hallway to hear that she’s gone and *gasp* left the house a mess. She’s trying not to scare Faith but has a bad feeling. Glad Mariah called, Nick will get back to her after his meeting.

Sharon can’t live in the past – some things will never happen no matter how badly she wants it. I’ve lost Cassie and I’ve lost you. Nick responds with a supportive pep talk.

Nick returns to grill Victor some more about Chancellor. I’m formulating my plan, Victor’s vague. You seemed pretty confident – Mom’s looking forward to running Katherine’s company. Nick wants to help. Victor sees on wild card – Lily – he wonders where her loyalties lie.

Everything OK with you and Chelsea? By process of elimination, Lily narrows it down to what must be troubling Billy.

Nick hopes his Dad will do right by Lily – she’s Neil’s daughter and a capable CEO. Victor agrees; she and Nikki will work well together. Nick still doesn’t see how his Dad will be able to take Chancellor from Billy. On cue, Devon arrives – you (Victor) wanted to see me?

The house now clean, Mariah and Faith try not to worry about their Mom. Could this be a bipolar episode? Faith’s not sure her she’s been taking her meds. They agree that if anyone can help Sharon, it’s Nick.

In the park, faux-Nick asks Sharon what she’d say to a patient who blamed themselves for the loss of a child. She’d tell them to refrain, don’t blame – but that’s meaningless talk. Nick feels as empty as Sharon does. There must be something else for both of us besides grief.
