Lily thinks that partnering with Billy makes sense. She’s excited about Chancellor and excited for Winters too – you’re a lone wolf who likes to be in control, Lily recalls playing Monopoly with Devon as kids. He’s not mad, he’s disappointed – it’s what Dad would have wanted. Devon would have respected Lily as a partner; Billy might kick you to the curb. You’re all about Chancellor, Billy is all about Billy.

Katherine gave the company to me, Victor booms. Then you sold it to Jill, Nick points out. Victor felt sorry for Jill – he thinks Katherine would have approved. He’s taking the company back to preserve her legacy. Chancellor needs your steady hand, Victor finally asks how his darling Nikki feels.

Despite it being middle of the day, Tessa and Mariah gaze up at the stars and into each other’s eyes. Mariah got Tessa an anniversary present. Both are soon wearing colourful squid hats, giggling and kissing.

Nikki’s grateful for Victor’s confidence. Thanks for believing in me and my recovery. She still has questions (as do Vikki and Nick) Do you really want to go to war with Billy? Jill wants to enjoy her retirement and Billy deserves some grace. And what about Lily? Victor thinks she’d be a valuable asset to Nikki.

After Devon leaves with Abby, Billy states the obvious – Devon’s mad; par for the course, he throws in a golf-pun. He’s looking out for me, Lily believes. Then why isn’t he happy for you? Billy doesn’t get it – why is he making you feel guilty and questioning your intentions? Lily hasn’t been entirely honest about her intentions.

Lily admits that Billy’s suspicions were correct – she planned to jump ship and leave him high and dry. Billy appreciates her honesty – what changed your mind? Your passion for the company and you value my input (while Devon wants to go it alone)

In the park, Abby and Devon admire the view. Don’t let me play Monopoly with Dom, Devon sadly admits that Lily feels she can’t work with him. He’s happy to have her answer, even if it’s not the answer he wanted.

Nikki hasn’t made up her mind. It would be best for all of us, Victor insists. If she doesn’t want it, does Victor still plan to rip Chancellor away from Billy? If she’s not interested, Adam is. Seriously? Newman Media’s not enough for you? Vikki snarls. Nikki wants an answer – will Victor go after Chancellor no matter what they say?

Takeout in hand, Billy doesn’t love that Lily planned to double cross him. They agree to move forward with full transparency (and more golf puns)

Nikki will try to make her decision quickly. Victor asks all to keep quiet – no leaks. In the hallway, Nikki tells Vikki that she has no idea what she’ll do. Nick and Adam stay behind to chat with Victor. Nick sees the upside but you’ll meet resistance (from more than Mom and Vic) Adam thinks his Dad might be underestimating Billy. Chancellor will be mine – Nikki will be it’s new CEO – it’s what Katherine would want, Victor’s not budging.

Continuing to sulk, Devon appreciates Abby’s support. She declines the invitation to join him at Winters but accepts his impromptu marriage proposal.
