Over drinks at the club, Devon warns Nate that Audra’s more trouble than she’s worth. Speaking of trouble, Billy’s charmed all the department heads he visited, Nate reports. And here’s more trouble – Aunt Maime joins them to hope that Lily can too – she needs to speak to the three of them.

At the office, Billy ignores Lily’s snide remarks; he needs to have a private conversation with her.

Chelsea and Adam wheel their suitcases into his apartment. Clearly they didn’t visit Connor and Adam’s finding it hard to stay positive. Chelsea asks him not to give up. She and Connor need him.

Another private conversation? That just fuels more distrust, Lily scolds – she feels betrayed by Billy and Jill. Billy’s betraying his Mother’s trust but he feels Lily should know – Jill’s sick.

Back at the club, Maime decides to tag along to CW since Devon and Nate are going back to work. She’s hurt by the way they ganged up on her – but knows she’s a dynamo; a piece of work. She wanted to unite the family (and takes credit for Nate being rehired) How can I set things right? Maime loves her family more than the company.

Billy’s vague – Jill’s illness is ‘cardiac’ – she’s in London being treated by Snapper (her doctor/brother) It’s serious enough for her to do what she did. Lily’s sorry – Jill means the world to her. Billy feels a sense of urgency to memorialize his Mother’s legacy – by adding Abbott to CW.

Claiming that her only agenda is family unity, Maime understands why Devon and Nate are skeptical – she came to town looking for a fight but is now willing to stay in her lane as a silent investor. How can I fix things? Prove it to us, Devon suggests she sell her interest in CW to them.

Sell my stake in the company? Maime thinks that a bit extreme and cruel to cut her out of the company. Having heard that Jill handed the reins to Billy, she sees that as a big red flag.

Lily thinks adding Abbott to the company name is ridiculous. Billy wants him Mom to know that her legacy’s secure. He wouldn’t use his Mother’s illness to have his name added – this isn’t about me. Why is this so important to you? Lily asks. Billy wants to make up for not being the best son.
