As Ashley battles her demons, Alan’s going to his apartment but will be back soon. Ashley gives him a thank-you hug, then is left to tell Traci that she’s afraid to sleep – her alters want to take over. I can’t let them.
Harrison’s going to have a lot of fun with Claire while his parents are at work. You can call us any time, Summer reminds. Kyle predicts a really good day for all of them. When an excited Harrison opens the door for Claire, Summer looks nervous.
Tucker can’t believe Audra’s ending things because he wants to help his son – who walks away from family? YOU walked away from Ashley because SHE wouldn’t walk away from HER family, Audra points out his hypocrisy. Ashley’s family loves her – you’re son doesn’t give a damn about you. There was never a scenario without you, Tucker insists. Audra’s eyes are finally open – you will never make me a priority. I’m done, she opens the door. Stay away from Glacade, Tucker warns on his way out.
Ashley’s frightened by her lack of control. If my alters are trying to protect me, why would they have me reconnect with Tucker? She agrees they should wait for Alan. What can Traci do to help? Keep an eye on me? Watch me – make sure I stay me, Ashley pleads.
Jack chases Diane through the park – he hates how his actions worried her and will never to it again. How can Diane live with his disregard for his wife and family? Jack will apologize a million times and swears never to do it again. What if Nikki falls off the wagon again? Diane has no choice but to end things. On cue, Nikki sends Jack a text – she needs to meet with him. Nikki needs help?! Our MARRIAGE needs help! Diane will be the one to decide what she can live with and what she can’t.
As Kyle remains silent, Summer asks Claire to give Harrison healthy snacks instead of junk – the brownies will have to wait until after lunch. Of course, Claire will follow all the rules and respect boundaries. Summer also asks that Claire and Harrison don’t leave the property today. How long will Claire be here? Harrison has a list of things to do. Claire has a list too – but we don’t have to cram it all into one day.
Traci will make sure her sister stays present and in control. Ashley appreciates her support – I couldn’t do this without you. Both have questions. Ashley frets – her head’s like a dead zone. Alan will find a way to break through, Traci’s sure. Ashley hopes so.
Almost running into one another by the river, Tucker’s friendly greeting gets no response as Alan hurries away.
Returning to the apartment, Alan will help Ashley piece everything together. What does she remember after the fight with Tucker? Something happened after that to traumatize Ashley. She didn’t sleep the night before meeting Tucker at the bistro – she knew it’d be hard to talk to him about not walking away from her family. Close your eyes and retrace your steps, Alan encourages. As Claire and Harrison have a thumb war, it’s time for Kyle and Summer to go to work. When Summer considers working from home, Kyle says they’ll all be brave today. Harrison’s sure he and Claire will have fun. Kyle leads a nervous Summer to the door as Harrison and Claire go outside to see where the caterpillars hang out. Let’s go, Kyle drags Summer out.
Jack’s only trying to keep Nikki sober. Diane wants that for her too – but you’re not the only option for her. Jack explains that he and Nikki have a rapour – it would be cruel to start her with a new sponsor. Diane suspects Nikki chose Jack because he’d go easy on her – she did a lot of drinking on your watch. Diane’s drawing a line in the sand – you’ve brought this on yourself. She loves Jack – this is breaking her heart – but, she needs to walk away.
At CL’s, Kyle points out that they could have got coffee at the house or Jabot. Summer needs to transition – she’s nervous. It’s all good, Kyle sees nothing to be worried about. Summer hopes they never regret their decision. This might be a good reset for us all, Kyle’s optimistic.
Jack refuses to lose Diane to this. She refuses to lose him to an overdose. How can you consider giving up on our marriage? Jack won’t let her walk away – maybe Nikki needs to find another sponsor ~hug~
